McKennie did not have any problem with his Italian coach.

Italian football prizes tactical awareness more than any country and our players (when they came out of college and became pros at 22-23) lacked tactical and technical skills. It was not a good fit, in other words. Kids in this generation that are technically sharper and turn pro at 17 will be appreciated by Italian coaches like Weston and hopefully Reynolds.

Well spoken and very levelheaded approach. I’m hoping his Gold Cup leads to more opportunities. He took his opportunity against Haiti and ran with it. That’s exactly what you want to see. It will be a big and important club season for him, too. I’ll be following him.

Would love to see him leave Tenerife, either for a La Liga team or a second division side with a legit shot at promotion.

Maybe Stu Holden will like what he sees and have Mallorca pick him up.

I thought about that too. But then I saw where Mallorca signed Pablo Maffeo on loan, a Spanish RB from Stuttgart, who got a cup of tea in the Bundesliga but has decent experience in La Liga / La Liga 2.

It's been a long time since I posted here but I just wanted to say that he has improved and it's nice to see. I don't think he's going to be that great of a player but he's definitely one of our best players at the Gold Cup.

I would like to see Moore at LB and Cannon at RB for one game. Bello and Vines have been average in their games. It would be useful to know how much the drop off is when Shaq plays on the left compared to the right.

Rumor going around that Real Betis put in a bid for Moore for €2.3m, but the Twitter account that started the rumor is not credible at all, looks like it was only made today. Although the owner was of the account is claiming he “Has sources inside the USMNT camp”. I’m not going to post the tweet or the account that is spreading the rumor

But the tweet is getting a lot of attention, I wouldn’t believe it until a more credible source comes out.

I saw that too thanks for posting it with the caveats. I think it is BS but who knows Shaq is definitely turning some heads and has a lot of good film for Spanish suitors to look at. His game fits the Spanish Leagues imo nicely.

FWIW, Betis needs a RB. They had Enerson on loan last year.

Shaq-attack!!! 15 seconds into the Canada match and he opens up international account for the USMNT. Doing everything he can so Gregg doesn’t forget him.

From local media in Tenerife, the club has not heard from any clubs inside or outside of Spain about Shaq. And they believe he will remain with Tenerife.

Here is another report from a more credible (?) source

Various European clubs interested in Shaq Moore (#USMNT):
Betis, a team from Serie A and another from EPL

Tenerife has NOT received any offers yet

Likely range the CDT will claim:€ 4-5M + bonus + % future sale

Levante UD retains a % on it

€ 4-5M seems like a good amount for a player like Shaq.

Tenerife's sporting director confirmed that calls are coming in about Shaq. He said no offers have been made, but he has heard from clubs inside and outside of Spain.

It's a game of chicken right now with the bids and evaluations. I don't really think any club wants to set the market. Hopefully we see some movement soon.

Translation: "We think a lot of Shaq and there's been a lot of interest. so his valuation is widely known. Once it's been met, Shaq can negotiate personal terms and we'll wish him well."
