    Anti-Vaxxers have targeted the Somali-American community here in MN in that past, that has resulted in measles outbreaks. Now that it is basically a party platform for one of the major parties it's gonna spread fast.

    Meanwhile, larger and larger portions of Canada are now catching and surpassing more and more US states for being fully vaccinated.

    Such a turn around since just April.

    In my province, 81% of adults have now had 1 dose and 50% are fully vaccinated.

    We're down to just 66 in hospital and 14 in ICU from a population of 5 million. I've got my second dose scheduled for next Tuesday.

    Umm.. its not that different than the requirements for the Euros.

    Outdoor large gatherings that require negative covid results or vaccination and a mask to get in are not the cause of the exponential increase in deaths in the UK. We learned this a long time ago.

    Abandoning mask mandate "because freedom" just can't be called conservatism. Conservatism would be in favour of the minimum public health efforts required to keep the economy open. Masks are a very small imposition on citizens all things considered.

    To me this seems very similar to climate change, where politicians would rather engage in fantasy, than tackle hard problems. Neither Libertarian / Conservative ideology would call for abandoning all precautions in the face of large risks???

    According to FT reporting, it was the performative libertarian clown wing of the Tory party that has killed the UK mask mandate and other public health restrictions

    Charlie Sykes has been commenting that Conservative used to mean both freedom from big government, but also personal responsibility. Now apparently it means taking no responsibility

    of course it won't be the vaccinated elites like this talk show radio host that pay the price

    I have read various alt-right sites and praise for natural selection and culling the herd has always been there.

    It's like the read Hunger Games as youth and wanted to be the Capital District. Learned all the wrong lessons.

    Because they are unvaccinated.

    If there was no vaccine, almost certainly it would still generally be older people that are dying from the Delta variant.
