Earlier in the week when Sky Sport Italia first reported on this, it showed up almost immediately on their website. I'm not seeing this story there now, even though that's where this is apparently coming from. But I would keep an eye on this page to see if there are any updates soon that clarify exactly what they're reporting here.

I think it’s fair I just don’t think that’s a very motivating offer to do the deal and lose him before the end of their season.
I still can't find any confirmation of what Sky Sport Italia is actually reporting here, other than the report from earlier in the week that said Sassuolo hadn't actually prepared an offer yet.
Newly promoted Serie A side Venezia FC are reportedly interested in Gianluca Busio as they look to strengthen their side now that they're back in Italy's top flight. pic.twitter.com/Sqs5KJjA7E— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) June 29, 2021 Source is Tuttomercato so take with a grain of salt as they are not most reliable source of info in Italy
I think he had 4 giveaways in this one... the first one was on him for sure. The 2nd was a foul IMO and led to him coming up lame. The last two came near the end when he was gimpy. Still on him in that he needs to know when you are hurt you should not try to dribble w/ the ball... but I think neither of the last two giveaways would have happened if he wasn't limping around. But as butters said... still MOTM. Pretty legit game.
Article from The Athletic (sub required) Why Sporting KC teenager Gianluca Busio is attracting European interest and a USMNT Gold Cup call https://theathletic.com/2686401/202...-usmnt-sporting-kc/?source=emp_shared_article
Sources: Serie A club Venezia FC inch closer in chase to sign Sporting KC's Gianluca Busio. Have had multiple offers submitted. Nothing done yet, but moving forward.I'm told it could rise to the region of $7m + sell-on %. Others in the mix but Venezia + a Belgian club in front.— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) July 9, 2021
Potentially two young Yanks patrolling the middle of the pitch for a seemingly ambitious Serie A team owned by a Yank? Hmmmmm….. suddenly I am interested in Venezia. Very intriguing.
And two players that weren't deemed good enough to start (or in Busio's case even appear on the roster) for our U-23 side just a few months ago.
Not sure this is a great move for him, hoping he'd land at a club with better odds to stay up in Serie A.
I’m not particularly keen on Busio or TT moving to Venezia. While I appreciate a young player being forged in the fire of a legitimate relegation battle. I can’t help but get Benny Feilhaber at Derby County vibes. Venezia are really going to be up against it. KRC Genk or Sassuolo are preferred.
Venezia actually have a decent amount of money for a newly promoted side. I expect them to be a rather young team even if they get Busio or Tessman (rely a lot on young loaners from other Serie A teams)
Gianluca Busio: 'The American Pirlo' set for Serie A after USMNT debut https://www.goal.com/en/news/gianlu...erie-a-usmnt-debut/1y1zokna6c67w1uvtukpy0wd81 "And, as that USMNT career starts, it appears his MLS career may be nearing its end. Busio looks to have a big-money transfer on the horizon, with several clubs in Serie A linked with a seven-figure deal for the 19-year-old. .... Busio, who is is of Italian descent through his Brescia-born father, has all the smoothness of the Italian game baked into his own skillset. He is incredibly calm on the ball and has the vision to match. He sees plays as they happen and seemingly always picks the right response. A bit of pressure? No matter. Busio just turns, glides and moves the ball to where it needs to go. .... ... He is reportedly closing in on a move to Venezia, with MLSSoccer.com reporting that the newly-promoted Serie A side have offered $7 million (£5m) and a sell-on percentage to sign him away from Sporting KC."
Would be a very interesting move. It looks like they scrapped their way into Serie A - they finished 5th place in Serie B and won the playoff matches. I'd have to assume they would struggle heavily in Serie A, but he might see good playing time. Interesting side note, Venezia is obviously located in the beautiful city of Venice, and their stadium only seats 7,450
Most of those seats are above water, I'm sure. Tanner Tessmann is also closely linked to Venezia - should hear this week if that move is confirmed.
