I mean, England has never beaten Italy in a competitive tournament. Isn't this actually kinda expected? At least by anybody who is not an England supporter...?
Mancini made the tactical changes after a rough start, and outsmarted Southgate after all was said and done. I don't know why Southgate stuck so long with his 3-4-3 after it was apparent their midfield weren't going to touch the ball again. His subs for PKs didn't work out, and letting a 19 year old kick last in such a huge pressure situation will haunt him. Italy, wow, I've seen some team efforts in my old age, and this is right up there. This team lost Spin, Chiesa gets hurt today, no talisman up front.....and they win it all. It's unreal in a sense, it was like a next-man-up attitude, and nothing would stop them. The old warriors on defense are pure heart and soul, and real leaders of men. The kind of players you go to war with, and fight until the end. Chiesa, a warrior on attack that refused to go down, refused to quit. Di Lo messed up early, but he stepped up after that, and had a solid finish. Verratti, he took over in the second half, and showed his class. Jorginho, a warrior who never quit, and broke up so many attacks, an immense effort all tourney. Emerson, we dogged him, but he played with grit and determination after a rough start. Insigne was not at his best today, and Immobile was non-existent yet again, but this is when your teammates pick you up, and that they did. Donnarumma stood tall, and was huge all tournament, and no words can describe his PK saves. A deserved MVP performance. Forza Azzurri!!!!!!!!!!! pure heart and soul today, and all tournament. Very prideful moment for all Italians around the World.
Greetings everyone, Borussia Dortmund and German football fan here. Just dropping by to congratulate you guys on winning your second European Championship. Enjoy!
Yes!!!!! Chiesa Donnarumma Chiellini Bonucci And a big thumbs up to Emerson who had a good game. This whole team deserves it. So much heart.
You guys are Champions of Europe well considering what happened to you guys 3 years ago in 2018 when you guys failed to qualify for Russia but fast forward 3 years later you guys win EURO...major improvement or more like a quick rebuild in such a short period of time. Congratulations. Much respect. You guys earned it.
I liked what you said, a lot. Well done! I cried after the win. So emotional! I was so nervous! But I always believed in the next-man-up concept and the team that is a real team, bigger and better than the sum of its parts. I anticipate good things in Qatar.
I placed an obnoxious and arrogant English fan on Ignore... usually when I place someone there, that's it; he's not getting bailed out. But I'm a bit curious to know what he is saying. Most likely nothing. Most likely he disappeared and is silent. You know, one of those fake macho guys who like to talk tough behind a keyboard.
You guys can add a 5th star to your jersey but that is only if you guys can win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. If you guys win the EURO and then attempt to win a World Cup, the last country to do that was Spain in 2008 won EURO and then 2 years later 2010 win the World Cup. Could Italy do the same thing? I mean you guys certainly can but I'll say your chances are good but going up not just against European but South American, African teams and Asian teams as well as North American teams, a World Cup is harder to win. I'm just saying.
Speaking of which... Right now I'm worried about Sancho, Rashford and Saka being subjected to abuse from racist scumbags because they missed their penalties.
