Lucho road on the coattails of a prime Messi, Suarez and an up and coming Neymar. Pep is insufferable but he evolved what Rijkaard was doing and set Luis Ole Gunnar Enrique to walk towards a shot at silverware. Guy seriously didn't call up Nacho and went with Eric ********ing Garcia.
Luis Enrique is going to catch shit for being a Morata fanboy. Spain going out for missing 2 penalties. Guess who probably would have taken an extra pen for Spain tonight if he was called up? Sergio Ramos.
My heart legit sank for Morata there, his face said it all as he stepped up. You could see Morata didn't fancy it, he looked like a deer in headlights and was clearly mortified of the headlines being wrote if he missed. Feel pretty bad for the guy, he'll be distraught in the back, crying his eyes out.
Seemed to me like he made the most of what they have and could have made the Finals ... actually had Spain playing well after first 2 matches.
@YOUNGSTARS87 Jorginho’s game by numbers vs. Spain:120 minutes 81% pass accuracy 50 total touches 8 ball recoveries 7 interceptions 6 attempted tackles 4 passes into the final third 3 clearances 2 successful tackles 2 fouls won And a decisive pen in the shootout. 🤌 pic.twitter.com/KgGwdtAZ8j— Statman Dave (@StatmanDave) July 6, 2021
ADP actually not a bad commentator and his English is pretty good. Gave a fair review of Spain. Olmo looks like a baller by the way, might want to take a deeper look at him. Unai Simon jumped way too early on Jorginho by the way, doesn’t he know how this dude takes a penalty by now?
Olmo and Moreno suck.. Morata is better than them. If you look at their results Spain had no business reaching the semis and they only did because of Morata.
Hard luck for Spain, they had all the chances to reach the final despite being underestimated before and throughout the tournament. Now I expect Italy to do their job and win this thing.
Italy didn't deserve to go through and I'm an Italy NT fan, their performance today anyone has eyes can see that Spain was a better side in the match. Booooooo. And what was up with Spain Goalie? Italy kick to one side and he jump to the opposite side, wth? I don't enjoy a bit of this victory, here why, because it even more embarassing to me now when England lift the trophy, England will expose this Italy back line and we lucky if Kane don't trash us. I rather see Italy lost in the semi to avoid this embarrassment. Boooooo. I feel so bad for Spain. And nope, Italy won't be wining anything, not with today performance. Mancini need to work on them, this performance won't stick with England.
England not gonna be wasteful with their chances like Spain today. Mancini has alot of work to do, because I don't see Italy gonna win it, I just don't see it.
So what? Spain dominated the game heavily in the midfield. Those statistics aren't very useful when they are not compared to the other midfielders in the game, are they?
Olmo? I thought he was actually pretty good, driving at the Italians at will, only way they stopped him at times was taking him out. Also set up the chance for another Spain goal but Oyzabal missed it.
Olmo was definitely good in the match. All in all Luis Enrique set up the team well and they were playing good football. Imagine if they had at least one quality forward. And of course he made obvious mistakes with the squad selection. Eric Garcia was trash at best. Chiesa's goal is 90% on him.
Luis Enrique has done well despite squad selection, to say otherwise is just pure nonsense. Yes, he didn't call up any Real Madrid player but Spain have made it to the semifinals in a tournament for the 1st time since 2012 and that is progress no matter how you put it.
Well, It has to have arrived at some point in the past, before it can return, so either it will now finally arrive for England, or it's coming Rome, or it's coming home with yet another Schmeichel.
