Champions League qualification Hoffenheim vs Valur and then against the winner of Zürich/Milan Bad news for blissett
Well, don't worry: given how much you praise Switzerland, Milan shouldn't even go past Zürich, should they? But if they do, they could meet Valur: very well. Not an easy opponent, but feasible, I'd say.
It looks like Zürich has a Japanese player: Anna Matsushita https://www.fcz.ch/de/frauen/team-kader/ https://www.soccerdonna.de/de/anna-matsushita/profil/spieler_41356.html
looks like Popp's injury is worse than at first thought(due to translation, not sure if this means just this year or the whole season Jasmina Schweimler on Twitter: " Wolfsburg allrounder and @DFB_Frauen Captain Alexandra Popp will be out for longer than anticipated. The 30-year-old confirmed during yesterday's Sportschau Club that she ripped off some cartilage in her knee and doesn't expect a return this year. https://t.co/FzpnmTE0Ih" / Twitter the big name signing, interesting that a club that prides itself for it's supposedly superior technical soccer, hires arguaby the most athletic, if not fastest woso player in the world
Popp was talking about the calendar year and said she is still optimistic that she can play at the EURO.

Wow, the number of Kiwis who played in Frauen-Bundesliga seems to suggest that New Zealand is almost closer to the German borders than Netherlands! Since I assume that you highlighted in bold the players currently signed by a Bundesliga club, do you know for sure that Tanaka won't renew her contract with Leverkusen?
The Kiwis are mainly for the bottom clubs of the Bundesliga. I have no information about Tanaka but her loan ended in June.
transfer news; Potsdam vet, Bianca Schmidt, moves on to Swede champions, Rosengaard former Hoffenheim captain, Leonnie Pankratz moved from Montpelier to a Finish club(how on earth is the Bundesliga getting out bid by Finland these days?, lol) wouldn’t it be wiser to wait till after the Olympics before signing? If hometown Japan medals, her exposure would be way up there along with a higher contract offer, as I don’t think that Leverkusen pays that well since they don’t have any other major players on the squad
Her husband works in Finland so it doesn`t have financial reasons. Also: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-56457295

here is this one mag's top choice at right FB View attachment 200361 top choice for left FB. My actual fav, #5th ranked Camila Kuver, was only 17. I believe she has the potential to be #1 left or right FB, by the end of this new season. my bad, I tried posting it with my phone, will repost later on my PC a few things; rumor had it Goessling accepted an staff job with Wolfsburg, that’s why she didn’t take any offers by other clubs to continue on playing. with her & Laudehr retiring, it leaves only two active players left from the NT starting lineup that won the 2013 Euro championship; Maier & Marozsan. Both of them don’t play in the Bundesliga anymore as Maier just signed with Everton/Marozsan having a hard time at it playing currently in the US, having zero goals or assists so far(in 405 min.) for her Reign club that’s right now at 2nd to last place in the NWSL
as voted by Elfen Magazine(warning; this could just be a one man vote/operation) best right side winger best left side winger best striker
I’ve watched a few steamed games from Smits’s previous Ajax club, she’s a pretty good striker/takes accurate though too few shots. It be going to be hard for her to get playing time at the #9 with starter Pajor at the helm along with returning from injury Bremer. Same could be said on the NT unless they switch Miedema to another position. But with Spitse out, most likely it’s Bayern’s Bereensteyn that will get the vacant starting position at midfield
Best Right Side Winger View attachment 200425 Loos is seriously underrated... to me looking like a far better version of T.Knaak, but needing to play for a better side before anyone actually acknowledge it. And after a... OK final season for Hoffenhiem, it should be interesting to see if Wassmuth can develop her game enough to get back on this list, receiving any kind of regular match time for Wolfsburg. Best Left Side Winger View attachment 200426 Yeah... even a blind man can see Krumbiegel has a LONG way to go before she considered a stand out worthy of senior wnt recognition... Look for younger prospects Brand, and Wamser, to progress even further next season. Best Striker View attachment 200427 Billa for two seasons running seems to have found her comfort zone within the league, but I expect to see Pajor taking this award next season. Both Schüller, and Freigang, will need to progress towards finally breaking the 20 goal barrier next season too.
Best Defensive Mid View attachment 200428 I think Zadrazil had the biggest effect on her team this season, but Oberdorf is a legit world class player, who not only provides strong defensive cover, but also scores and assists like a forward lol... I also expect to see Lattwein a lot higher in POTY rankings next season, joining a Wolfsburg side that could potentially form an exciting CM 3 of Oberdorf - Lattwein - Roord. Best Central Mid View attachment 200429 Lohmann still has a lot to learn, but it's hard to argue the positive impact she had on Bayern during the first half of the season; even if it was the more reserved/mature role of Magull that saw them cross the finish line in first place. Honestly surprised to see her name here now, and I have no idea where, or how, Starke will fit into a strong Wolfsburg's team next season. But expect both Nüsken, and Feldkamp, to be a guaranteed high ranking names on such lists in future. Best Attacking Mid View attachment 200430 No... sorry... Dallmann was better in her first season for Bayern, and even then she was still less effective than she was with Essen... So I suppose Dallmann simply wins this because she's one of... maybe 3 specialist AM's in the entire league lol. Lohmann should have probably taken this award, with Magull the best CM. But this list honestly showcases how rare it is to see teams using specialist AM's at the heart of their teams anymore.
