JP Casper's Whole Hog White Stout.
    Okay in bottles
    Excellent on a nitro pour.

Good beer with a slight hint of white chocolate and vanilla.

Smirnoff. Been watching too many Bald and Bankrupt videos on YouTube and decided to take July off weed. Might have bitten off more than I can chew

How many bottles of malort can you bring in a carry on? I have an idea for a travel youtube channel

    Sorry to quote myself.
Our friend surprised us with a visit tonight. We went to a bar and I ordered her a Spotted Cow (which I know she adores). I had a White Stout.

I gave her a taste and she immediately abandoned her New Glarus and ordered us two more JP Casper's.

That is what friends are for, I guess.

    Awesome idea for a show.
I don't care about the rest of the story, your premise (taking malort through customs) rules.

True story. First time I was in Poland (2004). We were at the Warsaw airport coming home. The guy in front of us had a 5 gallon (approx.) jug of homemade Spiritus (basically moonshine).

He was shocked, shocked! that he could not carry it onto the plane. My partner snorted "Oh, he must be Ukrainian."... but he was Russian (she speaks Russian and listened to him bitch about it) .

Of course, 5 gallons of Spiritus lit up could easily bring down a plane. I was pleased that they would not let him bring it as a carry-on.

So I looked this up a couple months ago because I was taking a short flight to Minneapolis and a friend wanted Malört for some reason. Unless you buy it in the airport, the number of Malört bottles you can carry on is zero. Also, Midway doesn’t appear to have any shops where you can buy Malört. I had to smuggle the bottles on in my checked bag, and was able bring two. Moral of the story is, Leury García threw me a baseball at the Sox Twins game while I was up there, so always bring your friends Malört when traveling.

While I can't imbibe anymore, I noticed various Blood Orange drinks were popping up all over the place in the grocery store this afternoon. Are they any good?

New brew pub in Stevens Point. District 1 Brewing.
    Decent (but not great) beer.

    Awesome urinals, though! 20210708_165112.jpg 20210708_170924.jpg

I still haven't been there for a good reason, I am 275 miles away.

However, next time I around Geneva, IL, I plan to stop in for a Dithering "Yorkshire Best Bitter."
So few microbreweries make a bitter, which is a shame. A good bitter is about as good as it gets (to me).

Looks like they brew a number of excellent styles of beer, dopplebock, Vienna, pre-prohibition lager (why are they so much better than "post prohibition" lagers?). They also brew a Rauchbier, which can be great or god awful.

I was told that at the end of the month they will start brewing Geneva Belle again and their Oktoberfest beer.

After a morning looking at boats to purchase (no decision yet),

We are at Blue Heron Brewery for lunch, home to the best Scotch Ale (Loch Ness, the Nitro version in the Fall is amazing) and probably the only English bitter in Northern Wisconsin.

Every time someone mentions English-style bitters I shed a tear for Goose Island's Honker's Ale. I generally prefer German styles to English ones (also, ******** England), but Honker's in particular and that style in general were just so perfect for me. Like, not bitter at all (did the brits invent irony?), and although it's an ale, it comes big with the malts. Happiness in a glass.
