For me its how England always disses on other nations like Italy France , Germany etc on how they play, and there individual leagues , and when ever they lose its always something like a bad call that affected them or something, Man they still go on about Maradona. Hell Germany lost to England in 1966 on a contraversial goal did they bitch about , hardly they moved on and got there revenge in 1970. Makes it hard for me to support England when I see crap like that. and to me its unfortunate when I was a young a lot of British people coached me in Soccer and these guys were wonderful people who would not like to see the English arrogance.

I honestly think the only thing that will prevent England from reaching the final is Southgate's lineup decisions.

Germany is a moot point. Our form had been better than Spain's leading into this tournament and I'm not convinced they defend well. I think we're favorites if we beat Belgium. Perhaps England deserves a mention as well as they have any easier road to the Finals. The short of it is that we have every reason to believe right now that we can win this the way the tournament has played out.

Spain leading Switzerland 1-0 at the half. Switzerland really unlucky

For semis, since Spinnazola is likely out, I wonder could we play Di Lorenzo on the left and Florenzi on the right? Might be a better option than Emerson. What do y'all think? Or maybe even use Acerbi, Toloi, or Bastoni as a false full back?

Di Lo against Alba scares me on the left side, and no Spinazzola on the right is a huge loss. This will be problematic since Spain loves to stretch the field.

That looked awful. I don't think we see Spinnazola for the finals should we get there. He might be out a significant amount of time unforunately.

I meant Di Lo on the right side and Spin on the left side of Italy's formation.

Probably too defensive to go with a center-back on the left. I have to think Emerson.

Guys, also what do you think of trying Bernardeschi as a false #9?

Immobile just doesn’t do it for me, especially as a starting player. Belotti is meh.

Bernardeschi has been misused this past season and I just think he could be a good false 9 for us. He can head the ball, and he can control it and definitely knows how to shoot on target. Wouldn’t hurt to at least try it. What do y’all think?

Yeah you’re probably right after thinking about it. Is Emerson our best option? What about Florenzi?

Or could Pessina play there by any chance? That’s a complete guess but haven’t seen much of him.

So much for World Rankings. I liked Belgium and all and they had great players but they never won anything.

    Where is Italy ranked now?

What an incredible win. So happy for the squad. Huge balls today. Ciro was so bad. I think you have to explore a different option at the start against Spain. Barella is probably my favorite non Roma player in Serie A, his goal was just fantastic. When Insigne has time to get on the ball and is interested in the game he is still a wizard with his right foot. Jorginho is just an awesome player. So misunderstood by people who hate on him. Chest is puffed out a little more tonight, boyzz. Italy bossed Spain at the U21 euros when Italy hosted a few years back. Hoping for another match like that. Let’s go!!

I like that left winger for Belgium who drew the penalty. Nice player.

Welp according to ELO we are now ranked 3rd in the world. Just 33 points behind 2nd Belgium. Brazil is 1st.

    ELO rankings >> FIFA rankings.

ELO is definitely more accurate but still I wouldn’t call ELO that accurate either.

This might be a very unpopular opinion, but do any of you think that we might’ve been able to bring Quagliarella and use him up front? I know he’s 38, but a lot of the rest of the team is pretty young and I feel sticking in an older player in that case would’ve been fine. He played a few qualifiers and looked pretty dangerous. Better than Immobile and Belotti for sure. Thoughts?
