    Who should it be?

I personally think Jorge Jesus would do very well with our current team. Maybe Conceicao since neutrals are starting to like us, we need to maintain enemy status.

Jardim is the best manager on that list hands down.

Leonardo Jardim or Marco Silva would good options. I really hope they don't go for a foreign coach. There's really no need for that.

I think you need lots of experience to coach a national team.

Out of that list, I'd only consider Mourinho (who is past his best) and Jesus.

It might be time to look for an experienced foreign coach without any club prejudice.

    Jardim.

Maybe AVB if he's 100% dedicated, he proved he still has it when he coached such a shit Marseille squad to 2nd place 2 seasons ago. He lost interest after that when they didn't bolster their squad for the CL. He's back rally car racing now.

Mourinho would probably bring the best results.
Prefer Jardim, who likes youth players, is more attacking and much less irritating as well as less prone to blame the players. Remember when Mourinho use to shield the players and put all the pressure on him, after Real Merde he was never the Same. For Portugal I think he would hopefully regress as the players would not be out to get him.

Would not mind most of the choices bar, Queiroz, Bento and would be wary about JJ, who was doing 'Guardiolas' in Europes biggest games many years ago and still does.

Is Santos still contracted after this Euro?

Now is probably not the best time to change coach, given world cup is next year and we have important qualifiers to play

Damn. If Portugal don't go deep in this tournament or the next world cup, he should go.

I would have sacked him after the last world cup. We could have easily have made to to the semis if we topped our easy group.

    Euro 2021
    4 games. 1 win 1 draw 2 losses
    Win = Hungary

    World Cup 2018
    4 games. 1 win. 2 draws. 1 loss
    Win = Morocco

we are a joke. Remember when we had inferior teams and used to only lose to the elite. Now we lose to teams like Belgium, Chile and Uruguay.

what elite team have we beat other than France in the final? No one. We are frauds.

    get Jorge Jesus in ASAP.
if we go the foreign route, maybe offer conte a one year short term contract?

Villas-Boas for me… Need a younger coach that can relate with the younger talent. Someone that also likes to play more offensive football.

I wouldn’t be mad at Jardim or JJ either.

What about Nuno Espirito Santo? He doesn't have a team to coach right?

    Just for his name alone..

He has coached Jota, Moutinho, Semedo and Neves etc.

He's my favorite as well. AVB would be best case scenario.

Jardim, AVB, NES. Any would be better than Santos

But Santos wont be fired. Santos will only leave if he quits, or we have a debacle and fail to qualify. I also feel cr7 has a lot of say and probably wants Santos there too.

We might only see a change if Ronnie retires too.

I actually think Ronaldo probably hates Santos and his tactics. I wouldn't put it last Ronaldo to request a different manager

mourinho is the worst possible choice to coach this type of team with offensive talent. at one point he was the special one.... those days are long gone... the game has evolved he has not.

maybe im delusional but when i look at our squad i feel as though we should take the game to everyone we face, i dont care if its brazil, france, germany or the martians... we have enough talent on both ends of the field to not fear anyone and try to dominate.

There is a reason the u21 perform well --- they play attacking futebol. The guy on ESPN said the same thing, FS doesn't utilize our players well.

AVB is my choice bc of age and tactical but fpf will ride with boring santos. WC is gonna be a flopper.

The best way I can explain the way I feel after that match (just like after Uruguay) is cheated.

Cheated out of seeing Portugal put its best foot forward from the opening kickoff of a knockout match against an opponent that is not superior, and cheated out of seeing Portugal play up to its capabilities at the tournament as a whole.

Just another tournament where we only beat a weakling in regular time: Wales, Russia, New Zealand, Morocco, Hungary...

Surely this can't be good enough for the FPF, right? But I don't expect a change mid-qualifying either.

Jardim interests me. AVB makes sense also, need a coach to cater to the player’s strengths. It’s a quick turnaround to the WC so a guy like Rui Jorge could work too since he’s worked with these players.

I don’t think Ronaldo wants Santos here anymore, no way he’s a fan of this setup playing up top alone on an island. It’s Queiroz tactics all over again.
