Does any nation really need to pretend their Wisconsin? I think not.

That said, for the 1st 15 of the 2nd half Germany's been pressuring hard.

Wow! Hell of a shot by Mbappe. Offside, but one hell of a shot.

Can't even come close to Wisconsin. [emoji44]

Germany lack the ability to impose their will on the game. They have had the Lion share of possession, but just lack that something they have always had (prior to 2018...)

I don't know. I think Twellman has a real future doing color on the Columbus broadcasts. Of course Danhole Kelly must be on the play-by-play for that.

There it is. France just buries the 2nd goal. Match over unless something REALLY stupid happens.

Well, a stupid offside call happens. Who knew every match is like a Fire match?

An own goal and two disallowed French goals.

Germany played well but could not break down the French.

Belgium may be the top ranked team, but France is the best team in the world.

You said France would "destroy" Germany. They won due to an own goal.

You have a f*cked up definition of "destroy."

    And their defense is superb.
And their team starts with Pogba. He never impresses at Manchester United, but he is loaded with talent.

It will be interesting to see in the next games if Germany is really a shadow of their former selves and cannot score or if France really is that good.

France should run right past Portugal and wipe out Hungary.

Germany should beat Hungary and defeat Portugal, but it won't be easy for them.

Why would you expect this game to have been played without VAR?

    Stats from the Game:

Germany had 10 shots, to France's 4. Each had 1 shot on goal.
Germany had 62% of the possession to France's 38%.
Germany had 692 complete passes to France's 435.
Germany had 89% pass completion to France's 82%.

It really seemed like France dominated, but the stats state otherwise.

    Lies, damn lies and statistics.

    France are just this good.

Stats in a game when there’s an own goal so early are usually pretty ********ed up.

I think predicting the outcome(win for France) counts for something but not as much as predicting the correct result

    Excellent game for Wales.

Bale messed up the penalty "bigly" but was all over the place with both assists.

    Turkey was poor.

Haven't watched much of the Italy game (transplanting some shrubs and planting ferns), but what I have watched, they have looked good.

Kinda bummed that Belgium scored the 2nd goal. Nothing against Belgium at all. It's just with the Erickson story and the fact that I'm 1/2 Dane, I was kinda hoping for the Cinderella story. Alas. Still, a good match.
