With how impactful our new guys have been, I cant wait to see Amando Moreno play who is actually in form. Walmer and especially Perez have not got that many mins this season.
With the immediate impact our expats have brought to the team, I could hardly care less if La Selecta becomes more "Americanised". Welcome aboard Zavaleta, Perez and Walmer
Crazy story for Walmer though, dude just turned pro this year after years of playing College ball and Semi-Pro. And now he is playing important minutes for El Salvador in WC Qualifying and Scored a goal. I questioned Hugos choice of calling him up because he did not have much experience but I now see that he has a real eye for talent, Hope that he continues to grow and would like to see more of him.
Currently in a place with no signal, so couldn’t see the games. Great to see the subs work for Hugo. Also great to see we actually grind out results that seemed to never happen before. Two important matches on Saturday/Teusday!
Bad news for those eager to see Enrico Hernandez and Amando Moreno represent La Selecta. They will not be available for the 2021 Gold Cup.

Good last thing we want to do is to risk him aggravating the injury and never having him at 100%. We have seen that way too many times.
Saw the highlights (if anyone has full game links, please post!) We look GOOD. Physically, moving the ball around. It looks nice to see. Some decision making should be better but that’ll come with chemistry & players getting to know each other. OTOH, we look shaky defensively, especially vs Antigua. Larin saved us 2x from getting tied on. Has to be better. Bigger teams won’t forgive that. Creen has every ball pass through him. Good, he’s not the most creative & fancy one but it looks good knowing we have a referente. Him & chicho take that spot and hold it down. Monterosa is quality, as is Mayen. They’re the creative ones and it’s extremely obvious. Larin as a Lb (as he always should’ve been ) and tamacas in the right work extremely well. Wonder if we ever see Oscar get back to his old form. And Pineda as well. Rugamas is good off the bench, but we need a quality ST to start. Nelson is just not that guy. Excited to see what happens on Saturday. One can dream again
Rugamas being our sub striker is the move, like I posted before Bonilla is being used for his speed something Rugamas doesn’t have (thanks to those knee injuries.). I want to see Dominguez/Zavaleta start alongside each other too see if it can work. As for the top part I would still tweak with it more so the GC will be the perfect spot for it.
Jon Arnold @ArnoldcommaJon 10m Joaquin Rivas back into the El Salvador starting XI, as is David Rugamas as Hugo Perez opts for a different attacking look.
