yeah I think the amount of doubt from Americans fans around this player makes no sense....same for the dest's and mcekennies etc....

a 16 year old starter in MLS is a damn fine accomplishment....I'd say the benefit of the doubt shuld go with the player...but its like eveyone wants to preempitvely rain on the parade. ...

he should go to the absolute best club he can....provided they will actually give him a chance with the first team and not loan army him....italy would be ideal, imo.

worst case he washes out at barcelona but still catches on with a good team elsewhere....much easier to fall down the ladder than climb up it imo.

Sounds like a couple of Serie A offers were declined this winter:

    https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/sour...serie-a-offers-for-gianluca-busio-this-winter

Sporting Kansas City received and rejected offers from two Serie A clubs for Gianluca Busio this winter, sources tell MLSsoccer.com. A number of European clubs from Italy, Germany and the Netherlands also reached out about Busio this offseason, the sources added.

Busio has been really good the first month of the season. He can play multiple midfield positions and do it well. If he’s not sold this January, sporting kc are really messing with his career.
Go make that serie a move and potentially work your way into the World Cup squad

He looks like an 8 to me.....he’s playing well and really seeing the game right now. It’s time for him to make that move

But as a 6 he could do express his prodigious talent at being able to see favorable positions and reach that position with the ball. That he is good at coming away with the ball, runs all day, and jumps into passing lanes, mitigates his average athleticism. I prefer him in that role but agree he is pretty good as an 8.

Yea I like him all over the field. He has talent going forward as well so I’d have him at 8. He’s a guy that needs to touch the ball a lot and control the pace of the game. I see him like a Kovacic in that 6/8 kind of hybrid game control guy

You know who I'm tempted to say Busio's game reminds me of? Michael Bradley's.

SKC has not been a club that has seemed very willing to sell Americans in the past (Zusi,Besler, EPB)... hopefully they let Busio go if they get a fair offer.

No, not EPL anymore, BL is open without it. Serie A is a difficult one to get in.
