Winning thre group will mean avoiding England - assuming they win their group - until the final. Very important.

Then again isn't the final at Wembley? That's probably not ideal either lol. Hopefully they lose before then lol

Does 21 year old Giacomo Raspadori with 8 goals in two years for Sassuolo really deserve a call up?

what does England have to offer other than a good attack?

They have a subpar coach in Southgate... who nobody knows what their identity of formation is going to be (4-3-3... 3-5-2... 3-4-3; ive seen english pundits speculate them all).

He took 4 RBs. With an expanded roster its not a big deal...but.. it just shows indecisiveness and incompetence.

Henderson, Maguire look set to miss the group stages. Rashford, Philips and Grealish not 100%.

Sure why not. will be nice to go far in the Euros. but with the expanded roster and Mancini freshly signing an extension with the NT.. he is using this to integrate him into the squad with an eye towards a run at the WC next year and beyond.

He's raw ..but he's got the technical ability to be a good #9 for us. Almost a hybrid of Di Natale and Aguero in his style. Long ways to go and he may not pan out.. but its a good use of the expanded roster slot.

Raspadori’s selection is reminiscent of surprise Italian packages of tournament’s passed. He might only get a few chances, but if he makes the most of them, he could be a wildcard that helps Italy out in attack. Like I said in the U21 thread, he is definitely a level above those players. Who knows? He might be worth 60 million in a month’s time.

I don't know how you leave a guy like Kean out and bring on Raspadori. This is not a knock on him, but Kean has already played for massive clubs and in the CL. You need guys with experience at the highest level in this tournament.

If I can pretend to know what Mancini is thinking:

Kean is not going to start over either Belotti or Immobile in the center forward position. As a winger, we have better options.

Raspadori is a tricky striker who is dangerous in the 18 yard box. Can be very useful if we need a goal in the late stages of a game.

I don't feel strongly either way. I like both guys.

To me the only real errors are taking Toloi over Mancini, and Cristante over Pessina.

Toloi had a great year in a team that plays a back 3 and a system that is diverse from Italy. I would have rewarded Mancini who was apart of Italy's cycle since R. Mancini took over. Also more versatile and can fill different roles

Cristante is a jack of all trades and master of absolutely nothing. Pessina is growing every season. Pessina also versatile, but the difference between he and Cristante is that Pessina is a danger is the final 3/4's.

agreed. Bobby got both these decisions wrong.

my only real concern is that basically all of our CBs are old or out of form and old. Giorgio shouldn’t be starting all three group stage games or he’ll be completely out of gas. I guess we do get the small advantage of an extra day rest between our first and second game which helps a bit.

if im guessing why he took Toloi.. its to play him as a "RB" later on in games... basically making it a back 3. but still agree with you.. Mancini should have gone instead.

I’m not really all that worried about England from a talent standpoint. I just think having the home crowd in a semi final or final is a huge advantage to them should they make it that far

unless Moise's injury he picked up against San Marino was more than just a knock.

the only other thing i can think is that he wants a 3rd option at ST... and to be honest.. watching him vs San Marino in the first half was frustrating. He floated out wide too often and didn't really offer much all game.

Gli #Azzurri posano in divisa Emporio Armani

Getting ready for Euro Finals, the Italian National Team is wearing Emporio Armani suits. This is the second brand of Armani family, features ready-to-wear and runway collections. Emporio Armani focuses on trends and modern traits.

Emporio Armani along with Giorgio Armani are the only two ready-to-wear brands that are mainly designed by Giorgio Armani himself, and has a spotlight at Milan Fashion Week every year while Armani Collezioni, Armani Jeans, and Armani Exchange do not. Emporio Armani is usually only sold in freestanding Emporio Armani boutiques and its official website

Is Gianluca Vialli an assistant coach or does he have another role or title?

Also , isn’t Daniele DeRossi supposed to be there as a staff as well?

I believe Italy's downfall this tournament will be the lack of a consistent scoring #9. Every other dept we are good but lack of goals against higher level teams might bw our biggest challenge. Someone prove me wrong on this fairly uneducated and inexperienced opinion.

It’s a theme repeated for a couple of years now.

It would be great if Immobile catches fire, but if he doesn’t, we should hope that at least he works hard and supports his teammates.

To me there will be also a lot of pressure on Insigne and Chiesa.
