Interesting that he’s wearing the #8 jersey for this competition. I know I’ll probably get flack for this opinion, but IMO he’s right there in competition for the RCM spot with the full NT, especially if Musah doesn’t commit and Berhalter continues to use Reyna on the RW.

Agreed, and as a backup 6 to Adams. I think Johnny Soccer is a really quality player. He’s sneaky technical and his passing is underrated.

A Brazilian 6 can be an 8 or even 10 for many other countries in terms of technical polish. Brazilians don't put a guy at 6 without some class on the ball and passing ability even if ground coverage and bite are primary requirements in terms of how we see the position. Think Emerson, Casemiro, Juninho, etc. T

    New coach.

    https://www.uol.com.br/esporte/fute...tes-de-tentar-contratacao-de-novo-volante.htm

Miguel Ángel Ramírez should test a new midfielder at Internacional in the next matches. His name is Johnny. The player who returned from the United States team has not yet been observed by the coach and will gain space to be analyzed. The testing period with the last player in the squad's role to pass through the technical committee's screen gives the directors time to search for a contract for the sector....

Johnny Soccer on the bench, again. Hasn't played much real ball since Olympic qualifying.

Makes you wonder if he’s been carrying an injury?
