I see a ton of "we've caught up, just not with the top of MX teams" over there. I'd say the average team is where they've caught up the least. There may be a trend of MX teams that are consistently winning the league, but several non-elite teams have made the semis in the past 5 years. There's probably higher chance of a run of the mill MLS team ending last place in Liga MX than there is of a team like Necaxa not making the playoffs in MLS.
