Columbus Crew posted both of theirs Results so far: u15: Crew 2 NYCFC 0 Atlanta beat Cinci by at least 3 u17: Miami beat Cinci but unknown margin Unknown Charlotte/Philly result All three of Crew, Atlanta, and Miami were excellent as expected. At their respective age groups all three are very high level teams 06 Alejandro Granados Torres in the ongoing Orlando/Galaxy game scored a delicious free kick for the banger of the day
Please post link for all of us dumb, lazy people....please PS: Is torres that big dude playing the 9? Good skills. LAGalaxy has a DM that looks and plays like Ryan Reid from SKC, what's his name?
Link: Torres is number 47, left footed playmaker The other player you are talking about is Morris Spaltenstein who’s class. Another 06
I liked Owen Presthus's game, he's a smart player. He uses both feet well, is left, but try to use the right foot many times. He looked taller. Sagar Patel is another player that I liked. He does a good job defensively.
Owen played his best game of the entire season today. Throughout the course of the season he’s really struggled to find consistency or stay off the injury list. I battle often internally about who’s the better prospect in his family between him and TJ. I’m a big fan of Sagar but have questions about his pace as he gets to higher (particularly pro) levels but either way he’s a kid who is on track to head to a very good ACC or Big10 school The best overall prospects on the team didn’t quite shine today sadly. Brent Adu-Gyamfi is their #1 06 and did get a pretty nice goal today but didn’t quite play at his normal level. I’ve seen this kid do some legitimately mind blowing things. He’s generally full time with the Crew 17’s now. Chris Rogers only played a little bit and is rehabbing an injury but is a top left back prospect and should be a potential YNT player
If you could list jersey numbers we can reference them while watching. There is no way to reference them while watching to know who's Chris or who's Brent or Owen. Thanks in advance.
You can find the teams here, and if you navigate to the team page, there's a roster link (eg: Crew U-15 team page with roster listed underneath the staff) with player numbers. Problematic in some cases because some teams play kids up or down age groups and don't have the good sense to stagger player numbers by age group. Creates a situation where, for example, LA Galaxy's U17s have two #9s listed on their roster and I don't know if the impressive #9 in this LAG v Orlando game is Santillan or Ruvalcaba. Unrelated, but looks like FCD didn't send the U15s. Bummer. @FCDallas U17 4, @ATLUTD U17 0. Well done FCD! I am Mixing teams. who was the big 9, forgot number for LA Galaxy who had the FK goal for LA after Torres had his for Orlando.
Miami got their arses kicked by Philly. 4-1 or something like that. Just couldn't handle Philly's pressing. Got dominated and outcoached. And I thought Cincy had more and better quick ball movement. I thought I had the teams backward because white team was dominating black team so I thought Miami would be significantly better than Cincy. I hope I didn't have the teams reversed.
I've found that they have multiple players with the same jersey numbers, and often times their players are wearing other jersey numbers than listed.
The Philly 15’s (and every other age group) are very good, their recruiting goes a long ways so they should dominate most teams when at full strength. Cincy’s 17’s are built for possession. Their midfield and defense are extremely good at keeping the ball and making safe decisions, in particular Darrell Tucrios is an excellent and probably HG bound 6 who really helps them run. But they can lack chance creation and Miami was better at that (or was when I flipped over). Miami 17’s are a very loaded group as they should be in a soccer (and literally everything) hotbed
Columbus may not update on the website but they do post lineups with positions and numbers on their twitter and instagram. If only every MLS academy could do both Chris is number 5, LB Owen is number 10, left wing Brent is number 9, striker Sagar Patel is number 13, CB You mentioned a number 20 earlier as well but that’s Gio de Libera who plays for the 17’s. Gio is a late bloomer but his soccer IQ and skill are great. How big he gets determines his path whether pro or college, he may be smaller than Moses Nyeman right now I’d assume that most teams are going to run out their subs tomorrow to keep kids fresh so Chris Rogers should hopefully get more time, he’s a good player
USYNT posters: "I just want to see an American win the Champions League someday." Also USYNT posters: "I can't watch the American in the Champions League final because there's going to be a stream of an amazing 15 year old prospect."
Stream to field 6: Cinci/Miami u15 (10am) Galaxy/Philly u15 (12pm) Stream to field 5: CrewAtlanta u15 (10am) NYC/Orlando u15 (12pm) Stream to field 3: Crew/Atlanta u17 (10am) Galaxy/Cinci u17 (12pm) Champions League is at 3 so no excuse for us youth nuts to not be watching!
For any Atlanta people, who the hell is number 90 on the 15’s? Kid came on and was electric. Also scored two screamers Edit: name is Bryce Jamison
I’ll have a full recap of all the games when I get through all of them. One player I wanted to mention though now because he needs to be discussed a lot more. Matthew Schenfeld. What an incredible talent. His anticipation skills and foot skills are insane. About as good as you’ll see from a young fullback. Watch if you get the chance. I wasn’t sure when I put out my first rankings that there was a great ‘06. Schenfeld had absolutely zero hype anywhere from anyone. I only watched his games right before I put together the ‘06 rankings. I probably watched 4-5 games, so the sample wasn’t small, but I was putting my neck on the line with tapping this guy as the best player in the age group. I was not confident about ranking him the best ‘06 because he had absolutely no prior hype, but I don’t see the point of not giving my own original opinion. Six months since those rankings I put out, I’ll triple down. Schenfeld has put a gap between himself and every ‘06 prospect.
The boy is really good. The game I watched I think he was playing LW. Do you think that in the future he can be a LW/RW or his ability as a defender is good enough?
He’s a RB. I don’t know why he was playing LW. Many players were out of position. I have no clue why, and won’t begin to try to speculate why. As a winger, you lose most of his defensive value.
I think the 06 has a few very big talents. Schenfeld is definitely one of them. He’s played as a winger in this tournament but he’s also very solid defensively. He has enormous potential as a right back. Him and Javen Romero are the huge defensive talents this cycle
