People are sick and they will buy new kits no matter what. If they just made minor tweaks to a classic style arsenal home shirt every two years people would still buy it.

For the next two years the 3 stripes on the sleeves are gold. For the two years after that they're black and the shirt has a classic collar. The two years after that there's no stripes on the sleeves but instead on the cuffs. The two years after that they use the cannon logo. Etc etc etc.

No need for white side panels and all the other crap they do.

With that being said the away and 3rd are incredible.

Not a fan of the black trim on this kit. Some of the early renderings had Navy, which I strongly prefer. Overall, I like the 3rd kit best, but none are good enough for me to buy.

It’s blue. The contrast on those photos is screwed up. It’s probably darker than the render looks, but it’s not black.

Think they should have gone with a baby blue or a light(ish) medium blue. and then have blue shorts instead.

Really quick and crappy edit with a lighter blue & blue shorts. Add a red strip on the short because it felt needed...

Blue shorts are a pre req with a yellow shirt IMHO. They even referenced the 70/71 kit, so if they don't use blue shorts, they're screwing up royally. But based on the above discussion, the blue they'd probably use would be closer to black than to the classic royal(?) blue from 70/71 so they're already screwing it up at least that much. Oh well it's a step in the right direction anyway.

Yellow shorts are a huge miss on this.

Ok I just ordered the yellow top. It will look nice with jeans or shorts that I wear. Bought it even though we suck, and they don’t deserve a penny of my money.

Seeing some claims that the yellow shorts may be an alternate short or for the women's team only. Here is the other option I am seeing online...

And that looks like a proper navy blue instead of black that most of the official pics seem to have. The editors must be using some funky filters…

still not getting my money though

Just got the Away jersey today. Size Medium. It’s really nice and a good fit. I’m 5’ 9” and 160lbs. Adidas makes great kits

Let's hope they come to their senses. The version they suited up in today is all yellow... and wrong.

p.s. based on what I'm seeing on TV right now, the trim looks like either black or very dark navy. So at best, that's what we get in shorts color. Not exactly classic, but better than all yellow.

It’s blue. Adidas calls it ‘Collegiate Navy’.

I think the whole look is pretty sweet, really, but I try not to pretend things are sacrosanct just because they first appeared when I was a kid.

    OK, fair enough, but...

It's not just that the classic yellow-with-blue-shorts "appeared" when we were kids. It's also that they stuck with basically the same primary away kit colors for decades as AFAIK. Those 2 things are all I ever needed to deem it virtually sacrosanct.

And yes, I'm no big fan of the forced new away kit schemes every season, and the fairly radical color changes that go along with that. It seems like just transparent greed by clubs to pry more money from fans, many of whom probably could use to spend that money on "better causes".

And yes, I've also never been a victim of fashion. My wife would be happy to expound on that.

The newly-leaked third kit looks awesome, it looks kinda like a throwback of the 95-96 JVC-sponsored away double-blue away kit we had back then, I just might get a few new Adidas kits this season to go along with my 2002-04 O2-sponsored Invincibles kits and the assorted lineup of Puma shirts I also own.

....and while yes, I HAVE been away from both this forum and away from Football due to the pandemic (no fans in the stands, in which means no atmosphere), but, with us beating COVID-19 (at least here in the States) I just might be back next season, and, for the whole season at that too!!! Hopefully the UK opens up like most of us here (Washington returns to normal on June 30th) and fans will be back, and so will I, even though we finished 10th and trophyless, I'll still be watching, COYF'n'G!!!
