here's a guy who wanted to coach in the worst way, so he went to the nisl. is this going to be an anson dorrance situation, where he coaches the men's and women's teams or no?
when one person does two jobs, you only save money if that one person agrees to do two jobs for less than 2x the wages. and if you are about saving money, why double your player wage bill by adding a separate team? i know it's a gimmick, but it is silly.
Right now the buzz ia around Women's soccer, so why no ride that wave and try and make some money on it. Unlike the AISL , who plans to play in the summer and play a 36 game season , I can see that league going under fast.
it remains to be seen if non-national team players playing indoors can be a money-maker. remember, it took the nwsl years and in several of those the federations paid some player wages and some have mls team backing. we will see. but the idea that you can just 'make some money' indoors (men or women) ignores recent history. maybe the new commish has better ideas. and that asl thing? yeah, not real.
Here is the Latest Rumor, Apparently the MASL has hired Keith Tozer as our next MASL Commissioner This has not been confirmed.
If we turn the head to face the left instead of the right and change the color from red to orange, we don't violate their copyright.
here is how that would look. they're dragons. so? i would not expect confusion in the marketplace because no one is going to care about either team.
Columbus Rapids to be playing in the Columbus (GA) Civic Center. Seats about 7,500 for hockey/indoor soccer.
https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/sports/article253545299.html so, they are going to have four (x2) teams, then? please.
The article says, "The league’s other members, so far, are the Fayetteville Fury (North Carolina) and the Memphis Americans (Tennessee). One unnamed team will be announced soon, Blair said, to complete the league’s inaugural list of clubs." To me, that looks like they'll have 4 teams in year one.
that is how i read it. i mean, starting with 10 or whatever means you would lose three after the first year anyway. i guess it's not really a surprise that they could only drum up four investors.
