Call your shot for the upcoming Premier League season.

Predict the top 4 plus Arsenal's final position (if not top 4)
    Who is relegated?
Who is Arsenal's player of the year (other than Aubameyang)
    Who is Arsenal's surprise/breakout player?

Feel free to make any other bold predictions if you like. (How many matches before sp*rs fire Mourinho?)

PotY: Tierney. Having him healthy for a full season will have a huge impact

Surprise: Saliba. Maybe expectations are already sky high, but I think he will be a star.

Jose is gone after 22 matches.

Assuming no major players lose much of the season to injury...

    Citeh
    Chelski
    Liverpool
    ManU
    Arsenal

I think the gap between 3-4 will be wider than that between 4-5.

Tierney safe bet as Non-PEA POTY. But I'm a defensive player by trade so I always lean toward another defender.

Surprise player? Willian. I think he shows why Arteta wanted him and it makes a difference.

My pick for breakout POTY (I know it's kinda weird but that's me!):

18-year-old young gun Bukayo Saka, he's shown me a lot of promise since we brought him up last season so that's why

Comeback POTY (there's a category to add to the OG post) :

Calum Chambers or Rob Holding, as long as neither one of them blows his knee out this time around.

Tierney, Gabriel, Maitland-Niles, Pepe and Willian are candidates for non-Auba player of the season. I don’t think we’ll have any kind of surprise package. We’ve got so many u-23’s already in the first team, there’s not really any room for a breakthrough from someone we don’t expect.

To be honest, I don’t think Lampard is that good of a coach.

    top 4 for us.

    3 out of 4, sadly

    1 out of 3

PotY has to be Saka, right? Tierney's health was pretty critical to any success the club had this year. And the surprise has to be ESR. Jose survived a few more matches but his sacking was inevitable.

Wow. We were all off in terms of where arsenal would finish this season. Hopefully we can qualify for the Europa League next season!

ESR is the player of the year. The post-christmas table is a direct correlation to his inclusion in the team. Without him we might be 14th or something like that.

I still think it’s Saka, but I could easily make a case for Smith-Rowe, Pepe or Tierney. Xhaka also probably deserves a mention, unfortunately.

Interesting that most of us got the top 4 even if not in the correct order. And most of us picked 2 of 3 relegation teams correctly. After the season they had a year ago, Sheffield being that poor was a surprise to most except some of the stats nerds I follow.

Got the winner and rt group for top 4. Sadly.

Missed this one, mainly in my expectation Liverpool and Chelski would be better.

Yeah, injuries impacted Tierney's season but he's clearly among the best on the squad. Wouldn't dispute claims that Xhaka was MVP.

Clearly I was high that day.

Worst season I can remember, missing Europe for the first time since 94/95, constantly shit the bed, ********ed up VAR calls costing us goals/points/sanity, and we were only 6 points off 4th and finished in the same position as last season.

    This season can ******** off.

******** off the tripe. Bring in some better players. Word is we have Buendia at Arsenal in the next 2 days possibly for a medical.

    Good data here:

The soft schedule argument has some flaws (Chelsea on boxing day was game 15). The press, attack, and defense all got better as the season went on.

A lot of ways you can interpret the second half of the season. My take is that it's an improvement, but it's not good enough yet.

Esr and saka carried us so hard offensively it was embarrassing

we also got hosed by var. I heard without var we would be 4th. The fixtures were weird because we did ok vs Utd and Chelsea etc buts still struggled to win bs shit sides at times (till the pressure was off)

There was a picture doing the rounds recently meant to be like one of those "i am not a bot" pictures, and it said "identify the red card" and it has the Luiz touching the knee red, and then a whole bunch of non red cards from games we played where there were obvious hand balls and studs up challenges.

VARsenal indeed. We got completely ********ing cream pied by VAR this year and our club honestly should be putting in a complaint to the FA. The whole system needs a thorough restructure though and they won't do that.

Season Starts tmr. What is everyone’s prediction for this upcoming season?

    Top 4 prediction:
    Man City
    Liverpool
    Manure
    Chelsea

I think Arsenal will finish around 6th or 7th. Arteta will probably get sacked.
