With the current season now officially squandered, and next season being out of Europe for the first time in a quarter century, the biggest thing on the line this time is...

whether or not we can contribute to Big Sam’s first relegation (presumably why we’re on the big channel!), or...

perhaps whether our fans show up en masse to take out their various displeasures on the owner/mgmt.

    Nothing else worth saying really

After this morning there’s still a chance to celebrate St Totteringham day.

Maybe. But we'd have to make up 7 pts in 4 games... pretty big ask for Arteta and his squad. Probably a more realistic goal is making sure we finish in the top half. How sad we are now. In our immediate-post-Wenger era.

I'll be honest I've had more fun watching our loanees than Arsenal. Too bad this match is against us.

Win tomorrow it’s 4 points in three games and Tottenham’s three games are Wolves, Villa, and Leicester. I like the chances of them dropping points in those games.

BTW, Liverpool’s win today means Tottenham have dropped out of the European spots and Liverpool still have a game in hand. If Arsenal are out of Europe maybe we can take some comfort in the fact that Tottenham might be joining us.

Our remaining 3 games after this are Chelsea, Palace, and Brighton - so I am not too confident on us being able to capitalize on that.

Assuming spurs stay 7th, they will do one better than not qualifying for Europe. They will play in the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League, where you can travel around every Thursday to play teams like the 3rd placed team in the Slovenian League, or Maltese league.

7th is basically the absolute worst place to finish outside of the relegation spaces.

Kind of hoping the team quits on Arteta over these final 4 matches and that is enough to convince the club to sack him.

    Good: Martinelli starts up top.
Bad: Or it could be ESR as a false 9 again
    Ugly: Ceballos and Willian starting

When many say he should be playing more kids, he seems to be following a predetermine rotation plan. AND he seems to have not given up the minuscule chance we still have of earning a Europa spot.

p.s. Saka at LB? There must be something *seriously* wrong with Cedric lately.

Azeez and Balogun should have been on the bench. Ceballos should never start. Willian starting over anyone?

This is why Arteta doesn't need more time.

He can’t get Willian into the team without playing Saka at left back.:rolleyes:

he’s determined to be proven right about Willian.

Looks like a Willian concussion to me, play it safe and take him off

Arteta doesn't really do the whole "player health" thing.

Unrelated, playing Ceballos is a waste of minutes.

I think today might be the day where Saka decides to take his talents elsewhere. He's better than everybody else on the team by miles and miles.

100% chance we get the first yellow. Arsenal don't like it up 'em

That long contract he signed will let us keep him this summer, but next summer he is 100% off to Liverpool or City.

Umm. Cedric played like 5 or 6 matches straight, up until 3-4 weeks ago.
