Yes, it sounds like there are plans for ANOTHER professional indoor/arena soccer league to start up. The Arena Soccer League. Here are some tidbits: Arena Soccer League - https://arena-soccer.com/?fbclid=IwAR2Aq64yf8U3_aOhFMex9bewmAwBA7OQmBZ53tVw0BR7DF0KviHlmR4OloE Detroit Rockers? - https://www.detroitnews.com/story/s...1zLgDlBNpnP2MavuzN3uqTO8HF6dh3PRAFBycTWKvo8XY Philadelphia KiXX - https://www.facebook.com/KiXXASL/ Chicago Sting - https://www.facebook.com/Chicago-Sting-100221905505902 I did a search within this forum and couldn't find any other mention of this league so apologies if there is another thread regarding this league. As with anything, time will tell.
The Chicago Sting logo reminds me of the Chicago Stingers that played in the old USISL days back in the 90's. Drew a few hundred fans per match. Cheap knock off of the original Sting team that I am sure few people will remember. The alphabet soup of Leagues continues.
I think the Kendis balls were pretty cheap. They bounced high and my friend and I joked that when you put it down it would roll away because they were oblong.
I pretty much hated the NPSL (MPS and a big step down from the MISL) but I have to admit that star ball looks great in any logo.
They are both great designs. Better than 99 percent of any other balls used by American leagues. The rocket red ball from the MISL is also top notch, but really wouldn't work as an outdoor ball
Tradition. Outdoor balls have been mostly white. Also visibility on a larger field wouldn't be great.
Did you ever see the Premier League ball? It's not white any more. How is an orange ball how to see on a large field?
The photo below is the original AISA / NPSL ‘star’ ball, which was produced by Wilson. This ball was introduced for the 1987-88 season before being replaced by the white version of the ball sometime during the 1988-89 season (still a Wilson ball at that point). This blue version was difficult to see when in action, as it was too dark. The white version was a vast improvement. Looking back, from a viewing standpoint and just the look of the ball, I actually like the NPSL ball a bit better than the old MISL rocket red ball.
Technically I'm not sure they announced any teams. I think it said something like teams LIKE Philadelphia and Chicago.
almost 90 days since this touching father-son bonding exercise/fantasy last updated its website with any news, or tweeted or posted on facebook.
I used to have one of those until one of the idiots I went to school with kicked it into an open storm drain.
