Bayern U19 has NOW extended with ALL 02-03s barring Lasse Gunther. Well any Gunther extension would 100% a solo piece. Gunther for one should really be at 1 goal and 1 assist for Bayern II, just unforntunate.

The FC Bayern has tied four players longer in the youth division. Defender Gabriel Marušić (3 March 2003) and midfield players Grant-Leon Mamedova (20 July 2003), Behar Neziri (6 January 2003) and Gabriel Vidović (1 December 2003) have extended their contracts with the German record champions until June 30, 2023. All four are part of the U19 squad on campus this season.

“We are very happy that these four guys are staying loyal to FC Bayern and want to take their next steps at the FC Bayern Campus. In all four we see the potential that they can establish themselves in men's football through our U23 and we wish them every success on this path, ”says Holger Seitz, Sports Director at the FC Bayern Campus.

-99 W Assibey-Mensah moving to Freiburg II who are headed for 3rd Liga promotion.
    https://www.transfermarkt.de/sc-fre...t-ab-sommer-die-2-mannschaft/view/news/384318

    -AB's 00 M J.Muller moving to Schalke II.

    -on Adeyemi and Berisha.

    KARIM ADEYEMI
Three goals and three assists in April, having started just two matches! You can't make a better claim for a starting berth than Karim has over the past month. As a substitute he has demolished tired defences with his whirlwind-like speed! Seeing him race away from central defenders up and down the Austrian Bundesliga makes you wonder at times whether the youngster has a cheat code.

    MERGIM BERISHA
A goal against LASK, assist against Tirol, goal and assist against Wolfsberg. Mergim once again showed just how important he is for our team in April. He's always going to the gym in our training centre for weights training. No surprise that on the pitch he's prepared to get stuck in wherever he can. Mergim is a real team player.

-on 02 CF Borkowski, 3 goals this season, 1 left,1 right and 1 header, add good technique, physique, pressing and he has all making of complete CF.

Borkowski: On the long way to becoming a regular FCN player The young club striker blossoms without pressure and with a lot of self-confidence

-on Schalke youth, this doesn't include Summer transfers of 04 CF Topp and 04 CB Engels. Koster injured all season but recently back has been compared to Goretzka for years now. Elgert is also Kurt fan too and Klein is Winter addition from RB Leipzig. Schalke will be interesting as jump to 2BL is smaller than 1BL could offer more chances mixed in with debts and low budget.....

Elgert put up 2 U19 teams in the last few weeks. One group is mostly getting used to the new season (2003 vintage + 2004 vintage). In this year you can see what an absolute top football is and how many top talents play together in a bunch. Is madness.

And the other group, as well as today in a test match, which they just lost 2: 1, are more likely to play the 2002 year + a par 2003 year. The slightly weaker talents, such as (B-C talents, which hardly played a role, except for a few talents like Luis Köster, Elias Kurt, Ardy Mfundu and Luis Klein. Here I have to say that the last 3 players were injured for a long time and Köster and Mfundu are only recently in test matches. Of course, the old age groups like Mikail Maden, Vasilios Pavlidis, Tjark Scheller, Stanislav Fehler and Bleron Krasniqi also played, but all these players only played one solid half.

In the first half, the increase in chances was clearly on Schalke's side, the goalkeeper was warmed up nicely, but Stanislav Fehler also scored an offside goal, which didn't count. 2 halftime went to the opponent.

Talents that caught my eye were:

Louis Köster: Was strong as an 8 and 10 runner, had a great urge to attack, was dangerous for goals, had claimed a few ball conquests, even won a header duel with his size and unpacked a template for Luis Klein with an interface pass. Köster fired everything out in the first half and seemed a bit flat in the second half. He's only recently returned. The game type reminds me of Leon Goretzka.

Elias Kurt: Led the crew as captain. Has built the structure of the game tactically, technically and in agility well, played many good passes and one or the other long ball arrived, even if one failed as a 6. In the second half he played a slightly different role and Elgert told him that he should work more in pressing than in duels.

Luis Klein: In the first half I found him a little inconspicuous, in the second half the opposite was completely. He was always sought after with speed, he also left two opponents dribbling and just missed the goal. Fired many shots on goal in the 2nd half.

Lukaku has improved his first touch and hold-up play this season at the age of 27. it is quite unusual that he has developed these aspects of his game at this stage of his career. He shared how he got better at them:

“I’ve improved with my back to goal thanks to a machine we use in training which fires balls at me at 30-40km/h, I have to direct them towards my teammates.

“Beforehand I was always a bit behind the defender marking me, now I’m two seconds ahead of them.

“It’ll never be my favourite kind of work but now I’m fulfulling a crucial role, a bit like Shaquille O’Neal in basketball.

“I’m proud to have provided nine assists for Inter this season.”

“Conte told me very directly: ‘If you don’t work in training you won’t play, it’s essential that you know how to play with your back to goal.

“It’s important to meet people who tell you the absolute truth to help you improve.”

Maybe there is hope for Werner after all. Even after the age of 25, he could improve his weaknesses. But more importantly, we need this type of training machine firing at German youth strikers. We desperately need a real number 9.

The real number 9 is Nmecha or even havertz.

In this video, they mention that the percentage of Bundesliga's players made up of Germans younger than 23 dropped from 21 in 2010 to 6 in 2020. This stat is quite worrying. It makes the breakthroughs of Musiala, Wirtz and Moukoko look extraordinary.

Nmecha is a real number 9 but is he going to be good enough to start for the best teams in the world? He has 14 goals and 3 assists in 31 matches in the Belgian league. Correct me if I am wrong but a lot of his goals come from penalties. I have seen him play very well for the u21 national team but he is one of oldest players there. We have seen in the past a lot of players(often from the oldest age group) who shine in the U21 Euro and then struggle in the big leagues. Next season in the Bundesliga will tell us a lot about his potential.

I think the most worrying part is, even more lacking of talent in defensive area. I'm talking about FB and GK. And might be CB. I think it is quite worrying to see the talented youth aimed to become winger, midfielder. I'm using Mats Hummels as example. He was playing as defensive midfield in youth and when transition to CB, his ball playing and passing skill beneficial for future CB position.

Not sure about this. Lukaku might be small sample size. I believe football skill, just like piano player, ballet dancer, any music player should be nurtured from very young age. If you want to improve by leaps and bounds when already above 20 might be hard. I don't think Werner undergo the very same training method as Lukaku yielding the same result. On top of that, despite having much bigger build I think Lukaku is more good on the ball compared to Werner even before those training method.

With FC Bayern II struggling to pull themselves out of the relegation zone, they only managed to get a point against MSV Duisburg. Some items of note/observations:
    • Chris Scott was active, at least early on in the match. He made a nice run down the left side of the penalty area, received a pass, and took the shot; but it was a narrow angle so the keeper had it easily.
    • Armindo Sieb got his first professional goal, courtesy of a Scott assist. The two of them navigated tight spaces in the Duisburg defense and Sieb pushed the ball to his right and hit a strong shot to the far side of the goal. Nice interplay between the two.
    • Lasse Gunther got his first start, but had to be subbed off after 36 minutes due to injury, it seems.
    • Fiete Arp notched a penalty late (won by Waidner) to secure the draw. Calm, confident finish from him.
    • Torben Rhein was on the bench and unused this match. Disappointing to see after he had seemingly become a regular in the squad. Hopefully just a one-off decision.

Bummer. Apparently Bayern's Lasse Günther tore his MCL and will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks. That will end his season and his contract situation remains up in the air. Given this injury -- and the injuries he's dealt with over the last year -- I wouldn't be surprised if he signs a 1-2 year contract to regain fitness/form before committing to anything more long-term. The club seems to think highly of him.

Given the regular comparisons to Arjen Robben, it's a bit ironic that he's dealt with a series of injuries, similar to the Dutchman. Hopefully, like with Robben, Bayern has the patience and foresight to see him through those struggles.

Ngankam scored the winning goal for Hertha against Schalke. Good first touch, finish and composure under pressure. Incredibly important goal and win for Hertha in their fight to secure survival.
    https://streamja.com/oPgWN

It looks like a lot of Hertha's attacking players will miss the next match due to injuries or suspensions. Ngankam is the only available striker left in the squad so he will probably start against Köln on Saturday.

    3 00-01 recently made 1BL debut.
-01 AM Michelbrink made 1BL debut for Hertha vs Schalke.

“That's how it has to be,” judged Dárdai after the 19-year-old spent fifteen minutes. Michelbrink had patiently waited for his opportunity, "come in and look good." Dárdai is convinced: "He can help us." The junior academy can be proud of that.

    pro contract looks next.

-00 DM/CB Flick played back to back XI for Schalke.

Grammozis on Florian Flick's debut: "He was one of the few players who made the effort in the second half. A very good debut."In Florian Flick, a young player could show himself off. He did well for his first game. It's important to learn about the team and see that players can compete at this level."

01 LB Ezeh looks like could make debut in 1BL for Schalke as he made back to back bench too.

-00 DM/CB Mack made 1BL debut for Stuttgart.

-00 CF Akono moving to 3rd Liga perm after good loan aka no career progress.

-02 CB Lawrence extends until 2024, no point if playing RL....

-03 CF Martens signs pro contract with 3rd Liga Rostock.
Martin Pieckenhagen, Board Member Sport at F.C. Hansa Rostock: “We are pleased that Theo was the next talent from our own offspring for the professional sector. Even if he will still be eligible to play for the U19 in the next season, we want to integrate him step by step into the first team. With his nose for goal, his speed and his mentality, Theo has already shown his potential and his promising disposition and was able to confirm this in the professional training sessions. "

“I am very happy and proud that I am at F.C. Hansa was allowed to sign my first professional contract. This is where I learned to play football and as a small child I dreamed of being able to play in the Ostseestadion one day. There is still a long way to go before then, but I will work and train hard to take advantage of this great opportunity and to repay the trust of those responsible with good performances. I would like to thank my coaches and supervisors who have accompanied me on my way and have played their part in enabling me to take the next step in my development, ”says Theo Gunnar Martens, pleased about the recognition and the new challenge.

-99 LB Itter going on loan to Furth for another year. 98 GK Schaffran and 00 RB Kratzer extend at club.

02 CB Dardai signed pro contract until 2025 at Hertha.

BLUE AND WHITE CONNECTION: NEW CONTRACT FOR MÁRTON DÁRDAI There are eventful weeks behind Márton Dárdai: starting eleven debut and first goal participation for our professionals, the fight to stay in the Bundesliga and, on the side, high school exams in quarantine. Now comes the next highlight: The native of Berlin signed a long-term contract until 2025 with our blue and white. “Marton is a Herthaner through and through and another great example of the outstanding work of our academy. In previous games in his first Bundesliga season, he has shown the potential he has several times. We are therefore delighted that he will remain part of the Hertha family for the next few years, ”said sports director Arne Friedrich, commenting on the central defender's signature. “I've been Herthan since I was ten. It was always my dream to become a professional here, so it quickly became clear to me that I would stay with Hertha. I would like to develop myself further here and look forward to everything that is still to come, ”said the 19-year-old very happy about his contract with our 'old lady'.

    Herthan home grown
The left-footed player moved from his hometown club 1. FC Wilmersdorf to the Hertha BSC Football Academy in the summer of 2012 and from then on went through all the youth teams. In addition to important first experiences in the performance area in our U17 and U19, the defensive player matured to become a German junior national player (17 games, one goal). The middle son of our head coach Pál Dárdai has been part of the Bundesliga squad of our Spreeathener since spring 2020. In the past season, our number 31 was already six times in the squad in the top German division. However, Dárdai only celebrated his debut in the current round - in the 3-0 away win in Augsburg last November. Since then, the 1.88 meter man has collected nine more missions and posted his first scorer point at 1-1 in Mainz. There will be many more appearances with the blue and white flag on their breasts in the future!

    Stark on Dardai.

Rare turn of events, DFB will have camp for 05 age group, same age group that has English and Italians envious.

    CHAMPIONS NOMINATED KADER FOR STEINBACH
The corona pandemic made courses for the U-national teams impossible for a long time. Under a more stringent hygiene concept, however, the U 16 juniors will be guest at the Steinbach sports school from May 23rd to 29th. For this, coach Marc Meister nominated 28 players. During the one-week course, they can recommend further measures by the DFB. Meister commented on the nomination as follows: "We will meet for the upcoming course as the U16 junior squad for the last time. Our players, including some debutants, have been able to use the past months in very different ways - we now want to get an overview of this in the coaching team From July onwards, with three additional courses, our focus will be on the four-nation tournament in Germany in September. Our focus at the Steinbach Sports School is not only on team-dynamic activities, but also on many training units, which we focus on individually as well as on group and team tactics We are all really looking forward to the training days together! " It is still unclear when exactly the courses in July and the four-nation tournament will take place.

Squad is FULL of top talents too, even on call players and kids left out too. Glad to see FCN boys of Fuchs and Uzun getting recognition and both on call.

I cringe at any and all person who thinks playing youth or not ALL depends on youth.....LOL.

ALL reports say that H96 coach Kocak doesn't want to play youth as he's done at H96 and wants to get results in remaining games in order to sell himself to other clubs.

playing youth is very very dependent on coaches and management ideas. TONS of coaches openly admit they want experience and/or 0 time for integration. So youth aren't only factor.....
