minute 86 take down by Coventry defender on Dike was pretty darn skeptical .. but indicative of what he has to "suffer" in order to play in the Championship.
8 for 25 on duels (that's a lot of those holy shit) 4 for 15 on aerial challenges 41% pass completion 1 shot attempt, off target 0 chances created Seems like a rough day at the office.
the takedown he suffered in minute 86 was just about the most cynical tackle I have seen one player put on another ... Da Costa (Coventry) is a big defender and when realizes Dike was going to get around him .... he just plants his thigh in front of Dike and shoves him with two hands to the ground .. no attempt to play the ball whatsoever ... does not get a yellow for the tackle. Such is life in the Championship ... but to be fair - I only saw only clearly good play by Dike in 30 minutes ... the rest of it he was just meh to bad. Guess he was bound to have a poor match sooner or later.
