DC just gave permission to DC United to up their in person attendance to 25% (about 5000 fans). Will be interesting to see if the team takes advantage of this for the 17th, or if they'll wait til the May homestand to implement.

Nationals also get a bump to 25%; Caps and Wizards finally get fans at 10% capacity.

Today’s match against FTRB ended 1-1. Sorga scored in the first half and a penalty was converted by FTRB in the second.

    Season starts next week.

Got an email last night from DCU -- 3000 more seats available for 4/17. So those who didn't get in on the first shot may be in luck. I've asked my rep if it's possible to switch seats previously selected if "better" ones are available. Awaiting an answer.

I’m just got a notification from my ticket rep that the District has approved going up to 25% capacity, so there should be more tickets available now.

Thanks. We've been pretty well on top of those things and we've got our son's neurologist's office trying to pull some strings for both the kids since my son's at risk with some genetic markers for inflammation which leads to multi-inflammatory syndrome that the kids who have had problems with covid have at least some ties to. And I think we'd be reticent to go with J&J having seen a 3rd state pull it from the market.

I thought the J&J issues were scarcity related. It does appear that Pfizer will be approved for 12-15 before summer.

Big news on the TV front, as DC United returns to NBC Sports Washington. A Spanish language TV deal is included.

Being outside of WJLA 24/7 area, I missed Dave Johnson. Has there been any updates about his health?

While the quality of the broadcast was not the best, nor easy to receive for fans farther away, I'm thankful that Sinclair filled the void left by FloSports.

Wasn't there a year in the nineties when Newschannel 8 broadcast some games instead of HTS?

When I got jabbed (both times) you could either sit in a holding area for 15 minutes or "promise" to sit in your car in the parking lot for 15. Some people do get adverse reactions, they also get them from flu shots, DPT/pertussis and whatever as well. I notice the report is from FOX and doesn't say what the adverse reactions are other than an implication that some folks felt faint. Not exactly the blood clot issues with AstraZeneca. J&J's problems may be related to tthe lab in Baltimore which has effed up a number of batches of J&J vaccine.

Also, waiting on team confirmation of this one, but looks like Dave Kasper is no longer GM at DC United.

As per this story, Kasper is becoming United's new president of soccer operations.

That is what I thought. Too bad the editors of the DC United page on Wikipedia don't know this.
