The CBA that was agreed to in Feb. 2020 included the detail that players making above the maximum budget charge wouldn’t be eligible for U-22 initiative.Pellegrini made above the max.Matuidi + Higuain were signed months later. https://t.co/QHarCLpkeShttps://t.co/9KXb0xC9AU— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) April 9, 2021 Miami showing everyone how roster management shouldn't be done.
Making this offer on behalf of Adrian Heath and the rest of the Loon brain trust...MNUFC will gladly take Pelligrini off their hands for 250K in GAM and the discovery rights to Vadim Demidov.
You know the mess is ownership - not Paul McDonough. Who's been hired back at Atlanta, mind you. And that roster is looking really good. (And while having a confident plan and direction is good, their upper management probably learned something about being too intrusive.) Pretty frickin' hilarious and predictable that Atlanta is looking very Argentine, whilst Becks is planting that NASL-sorta Brit retiree culture in the can't-miss-'cause-it's-a-Latin-American-capital of Miami. Great stuff.
Bet they're trying to sell Pellegrini back to McDonough and I doubt he's buying! Though it would be cool if McDonough/Heinze/ATL could somehow turn Pellegrini around and sell him on. This situation is hardly encouraging for young South American talent plotting their next move. Looks awful for MLS, particularly Miami.

One went on to win championships, cups and a shield and is one of the best clubs in the history of the sport in this country. The other one is the Cosmos.
It looks bad for Miami but they have to figure it out and learn from this. It doesn’t look awful for MLS - Inter is one of 29 clubs. Agents of SA talent can deal with the other teams in the league
