Foden has to start for us, he is pure magic

Bellingham needs to be in the squad, not sure about starting though. It seems like it would be between him and Mount for a position in the middle and for the moment Mount has made that spot his own. Ideally this would be the box-to-box role with a DM behind and an AM in front, but unlikely from Southgate

Very much unconfirmed but talk of England's potential last 16 game against one of France, Germany or Portugal being one of 4 games also to be played in England now too (if England win their group)

Which could be a massive bonus especially if we're at half-capacity by then.

So that would potentially mean just one game not at home (the quarter-final possibly against Spain in Rome?) if they were to advance

Tbh I would rather take my chances with Spain in Rome than a home game against Portugal or France. Germany im not too sure about.

Reece james looks far more solid than trent. Mount doing what Mount does

Reece james has been superb tonight. Excellent delivery and strong defensively. Hes way ahead of trent for me. I would start him at the euros

It's good to see so many English players doing well in the CL. Felt like for a lot of the 2010s we hardly had any English players doing anything of note.

True. Reece james at right back potentially in a semi final. Chilwell the same. Maguire in a potential europa league semi final. John Stones in a semi final. Mount in midfield foden. Sterling Kyle walker. Rashford Shaw saka all these guys with a chance of winning a European trophy. That's good experience

Mount is probably Chelsea’s best player atm, he has really kicked on this season and it’s so good to see him doing so well. He’ll be vital in our midfield, he presses so well and has so much energy, he is also technically very good.

Can't argue with that. Rio is far better than neville and caragher

If Graelish is fit I’d swap rashford for him

Alexander-Arnold isn’t in any form to start, I would have Trippier starting, probably have Chilwell over Shaw, Grealish over Rashford. Rice, Mount and Foden in midfield. Ings would be in my squad.

Pickford, Henderson, Pope Trippier, K.Walker , Stones, Maguire, Mings, M. Keane , Shaw , Chilwell. , Rice, Phillips, Henderson, Mount, Sancho, Grealish, Foden, Sterling, Rashford, KANE, Calvert Lewin , Ings. Hopefully allowed 25 man Squads, bring Saka and Alexander Arnold into squad, really torn with not having them in my squad. Maybe leave Henderson out for one of them.

Ings is a good call. He is clinical with his minimal chances. Though DCL is a monster in the air.

Henderson runs his his guys out for the team he covers ground. He is a fixture imo.

It's tricky picking the front three, their clubs form may not mean chemistry together. Deschamps picks little differences in his lineups to get that chemistry. I may be wrong, but Southgate is experimenting a lot before the Euros. Maybe he sees something I don't. But I'm not sure he knows his best mid to front three.

Just looking at the odds to make the squad, and I'm a bit surprised Ings is as high as 8/1. He's a quality player and I actually prefer him to DCL, although maybe you could argue DCL has got certain strengths that make him a bit different.

Even so, even if Southgate is taking just the 2 No.9s, I'm surprised it's perceived to be such a done deal for DCL and Ings is barely getting a mention. If Ings ends the season very well, I'd be reluctant to leave him out

I’d love to see Grealish at a top club, he needs to be playing CL football
