Two things: 1. He went to Europe at a young age, so he’s in his 9th or 10th year, making the numbers more “human”. 2. As someone said on the interwebz, that he accomplished it playing half a season, through injuries and personal issues, is a testament of his innate abilities.
His chances created stats per min at Real and Bayern were unreal if I recall correctly. There should be no doubt that homie can play.
It seems like colombian media is like showing that is like the first colombian to achieve this.......not remember this coverage and spam when bacca, falcao and recently duvan did it.
2 things: 1. Looks like neither French or Portuguese leagues keep the stat, so he shows somewhere around 60. 2. He usually plays behind the striker and controls the flows of the game, but not necessarily makes the assist, so his numbers are not as high. Still, impressive.
But other sources do keep track. https://www.transfermarkt.us/james-rodriguez/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/88103
Muriel will get there too I assume if not already. But of those folks you mention, James isn't a 9, so I think it's fine to celebrate it.
