I know this is 4 months too late but I was re watching the England v Republic of Ireland match from last year and I noticed something no one seemed to pick up before. Just as gstq was starting, 3 or 4 of the Irish players bowed their heads. Does anyone else find that Completely disrespectful?
Because it shows distain for someone's anthem. It's the same thing James mcclean does when it gets played.
Couldn't care less. Let's be honest, their history would justify a bit of disdain for our ruling classes.
Both players have their qualities but in the defeats away to Belgium or the Czech Republic they didn't seem to combine well. Even in the 5-3 win over Kosovo there seemed to be no control of the midfield and they looked vulnerable. Anyway it sounds like Henderson will definitely miss the qualifiers next month so Southgate will have to find an alternative against Poland.
Didn’t see all the Arsenal game tonight but apparently Saka was very good again. Very consistent with his performances this season and just seems to be getting better and better!
Arsenal strike late to save their season against Benfica!Saka and Aubameyang combine AGAIN when it matters most to put the Gunners ahead! 🤝 pic.twitter.com/e9aazd58lR— Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) February 25, 2021

Roy Keane recently described him as the modern day player that reminds him most of himself. I'd guess he'd have an opinion on that hot take from our friend Saj.
Really? Since he has come into the team we have had some of our worst performances since the WC. He was at fault for the Belgium first goal too IIRC
It's an unbalanced midfield, I don't think anyone here is disputing that. Have to say though, I've thought that Rice was much better on the ball in his last few games than he was previously. Him and Mount is not an implausible combination to me.
Jack Grealish OUT of trip to Leeds tomorrow. "The latest is he's still got a little bit of pain, not too much," says Dean Smith, who hopes to have him back for Sheff Utd on Tuesday.
