Felipe Luis: "Hazard didn’t train well, 5 mins before the game he would be playing Mario Kart in the dressing room. He would warm-up without tying his bootlaces up. Then no-one could take the ball off of him. He would dribble past 3 or 4 players and win games on his own." [@goal] pic.twitter.com/AVAqfdjo8g— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) February 22, 2021
Well bad habits caught up with him We live in an era of Cristiano, LeBron, Brady and others showing what it takes to keep sustained excellence even late in their careers Then we got this guy behaving like this. What a waste
He’s obviously not conditioned his career to be a Real Madrid player. He’s come here thinking he could do the same and bam!
I honestly don't think "it caught up with him" or whatever, he played in a pysical League, but to be honest, he was allowed to play and work at his own pace due to his talent. There are several factors in this, but i think the Hazard loop has been the same in London. Hazard plays well, player of the year, applauded, everybody is happy. Hazard phones it in "well he can't win with this coach/player/team around him, look how talented the guy is". So to go from that situation, into a situation where the tables are turned and you have a world champion in Kroos, a Balon d'Or winner in Modric, a multiple CL winner in Benzema, a Mr. Universe in Ramos, you're coached by one of the most successful guys in the history of the sport, simply put: There are no excuses. The fault is on him and him only. It's an uncomfortable situation to be in. Those Chelsea stories don't only show lack of effort, or lazyness, they show comfort, and if i can discribe my impression of Hazard in Madrid up until now, "uncomfortable" is a very fitting word. There are no days off. You can't half ass it and still get praised. This is a huge shift in expectations and mental situation for a player this late in his career with every mental and motivational mechanism practically burned into his brain by now.
Hazard at Chelsea: big fish in a small pond Hazard at Madrid: plankton in the Pacific ocean RM is simply out of his league.
I have to say, that I'm shocked at how much all of this was known *before* we bought him. I only saw him in Chelsea in games, but never had the time to look "off games". man, what a terrible transfer this is. by far the worst, topping Kaka and Woodgate.
I didn't rate him high as a player but I didn't expect he'd collapse under the circumstances the way he did. Mendy also mentioned in his AS interview that he's shocked over the waves of negativity after every bad result. If him and Hazard think this is bad, imagine how they'd feel hear their name being boohed when it's called out in the lineup before games.
🏥 @hazardeden10 was recovering well and quickly but he's again facing some pain which has forced him to take things slow. It's very unlikely that he'll feature against Atalanta in the second-leg. [@marca] 🇧🇪— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) March 5, 2021
Should've probably unregistered him in January to open a player slot for another Castilla kid or something.
If hazard had any bottle, he’d tell the club rewrite his contract to pay him on playtime going forwards.
Yeah, happened just that way last season as well. Was cured after the team went through the most difficult part of the schedule.
Real Madrid will give @hazardeden10 another season before considering selling him. [@diarioas]— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) March 5, 2021
The greatest thing in the history of football was how the club was accused of photoshoping his presentation pics to make him look thinner.
