But he was on Man U’s radar, negotiations soured after they reportedly had issues with different “agents “tried getting a piece of contract or IDV’s proposals.

There's now talk of him signing with Brighton and then being loaned out to a second divion club in Belgium.

Our players are undervalued in Europe. Many other players from sub 20 World Cup,have gone to bigger European teams w half the talent of Plata and Caicedo.Wtf!

☝️You’ll find out why MU stopped interested in obtaining his services.behind the scenes bloodsuckers,we all know too well, especially with our humble players, who don’t know the business and get exploited.

Eventually at some point or another most of these players will be part of the NT. Angulo and Sierra have to change teams so they receive more playing time. Campana, Alvarado, Sanchez, Alcivar, and Landázuri have to consolidate themselves with their respective teams. Rojas has to play at a consistent level for an extended period of time. Washington Corozo is an interesting player but will he get a look while he's still in Peru? He'll play Libertadores this year so that'll give him some increased exposure. I still find it odd that Castillo wasn't called up back in October and November. Preciado and Perlaza are ballers but Castillo is right there with them. That leads me to think that maybe the FEF knows something the public doesn't.

As of right now the NT has depth. Some players will fall off and others will emerge. If the Copa America started today who would be the 23 players that Alfaro would pick?

I feel like If Washington Corozo got called to the NT then he will really get exposure and teams will come asking for him. He drew Euro rumors from only one good season in Peru if he gets a NT call up then that might be the key to getting him a solid offer in a better league.

Alot of these players arent getting adequate playing time but friendlies are perfect for coaches to see why these players arent getting playing time and to help motivate them to up their game at club level. Same goes for players that get playing time but are just inconsistent.

Our list of 23 players for Copa America seems like it should be a mix of the players who started in the last WCQ games and the players from this list.

    GK - Dominguez, ?, ?
CB - Arboleda, Arreaga, Torres, ?
    RB - Preciado, Perlaza
    LB - Estupiñan, Palacios
MF - Moises, Gruezo, Franco, Sornoza, ?
    RW - Mena, Plata, Ibarra
    LW - Martinez, ?
    FW - Enner, Estrada

Ortiz, Galindez, Padilla, and Pinos will be in the mix for the second and third GK spots. Individual form and club performance will factor into Alfaro's decision.

Moises Corozo, Guerra, and Leon will compete for the fourth CB spot. The Ecuadorean media and fans will give him a hard time on this one.

In the midfield I'm inclined to go with Mendez but I think it's still up for grabs. Noboa, Cifuentes, Intriago are options as well.

The left wing is where there's the most competition. It'll come down to who's in the best form. If Martinez keeps playing well then he'll get called up. Perhaps Alfaro only calls up one traditional left winger. He may go in a different direction entirely. Mena and Plata can both play on the left. He can opt for another striker - Campana, Garces.

Maybe not Sornoza it hard to say if Alfaro will continue to include CAMS like him on the team Id rather go with Mendez and Cifuentes.

To me Fidel could be an essential player he could play wings and ST. Enner has been improving but I really would like Fidel as a back up striker option. Enner, Estrada and Fidel should be our main options for ST. Garces is gonna have it cut out for him to get playing time and shine in BSC with Mastriani. To me he is out of the radar atm. Campana would be 4th then Angulo.

Top options for me for wingers are Munoz, Alvarado, and Anderson Julio/Jhojan. Hopefully. Alvarado should really start breaking into his team this season fans are really asking him to play and the coaches plan on playing more this season. If Anderson come back to Liga he will shine and def deserve the call. Jhojan too if he stays consistent and play.

I really hope Padilla comes back to the starting position he is my favorite option. Pinos and Ortiz need to up their game or Galindez will easily take their spots.

Also IDK if Leon will start if doesnt seem like Aimar or Riveros will be getting benched for him.

I made a mistake not sure what position Jefferson Troya plays ive seen him as a RB/RW, CM, CAM. But I confused him for Juan Guayasamín He a youth striker from Liga and is said to be a huge prospect.

The u21 games will be played in tandem with the world cup qualifier games. From what I read the games will take place before the senior squad games or the day after. That would rule out some players who figure to be part of the senior squad - Moises, Plata, Campana, ect. Will the games be official fifa games? If they're not then clubs from abroad are under no obligation to release their players. That being said I think it will be a good opportunity to give some local players a look. Fef canceled the juvenil and reserve seasons last year because of covid so a lot of players need playing time.

Yea they announced that the teams have no obligations to release players which is always an issue even more now with covid. Luckily we have a huge amount of youth players coming up. Guys like Edwin Valencia, Guayasamin, and Pablo Amaya are huge prospects who have yet to show case them selves so this is the perfect opportunity for guys like them.

And there is most likely more players in segunda categoria places like Santo Domingo, Imbambura, Loja, Quevedo producing youth players as well and getting recognized thanks to the scouting that Celico does.

Players and teams that don't receive that much media coverage stand to benefit from possible transfers. Celico has a good eye for young talent. He's improved the FEFs scouting networks though. In the past the youth squads would only consist of kids from the same clubs - Liga, Emelec, BSC, el nacho. Now you see kids from clubs I've never even heard about. There's a lot of kids out there that have the talent but perhaps don't have the network or the right connections.

One player to keep an eye on is Piero Hincapie. Because of an injury suffered by one of the regular starters he will be given a chance to start. Barring an injury Arboleda will start against Venezuela. Who starts alongside him is to be determined. The MLS season won't start until mid April. Arreaga last played a competition match in November. Having him start a game of such high importance after that long a layoff is not a good idea. Torres is playing well in Mexico so he's an option. Corozo too.

Alot of talent gets barried and goes to waste this is why I was really happy when we got copa Ecuador that really puts players on the radar for bigger teams it improved scouting and give these smaller teams more transfers.

Hopefully our league goes on track to expand Sería B rather than eliminate it.

Him and Jackson Porozo are doing really well we should see them in the senior NT soon. Hopefully Moises and Plata get playing time in the first team soon so they can continue to be in the senior team.

Even if Moises and Plata don't get that much playing time I expect both to be called up.

The games against Venezuela and Chile are a little over a month away and a lot can happen from now until then but I would imagine Porozo and Hincapie are on Alfaro's radar.

If they're healthy then Moises and Plata will be called up regardless of whether or not they're getting playing time.

Alfaro new call up for micro ciclos. This is pretty much the main talent for the local league as of now Catholica players were left out due to their Copa Libertadores match. Joao Paredes would have been a nice addition to this call too.

I didnt know they had a libertadores game this week. That explains Galindez not being part of the list. I can't think of anyone that got left out. Maybe Romario Caicedo but then again I'm biased.

I can't wait till we have friendlies with players aboard we have more players than ever. I remember before I could count players aboard with 1 hand now it's more than I can keep track of.

Keep a close eye Jordy Caicedo if he kill is in Bulgaria he can def end up in a bigger Euro League. He perfect for European soccer supper strong fast great heading and a decent finisher.
