Ok now that Espn+ has added both Scottish and Belgian leagues, I’m going to put this out into the universe to see if it might happen...Portugese Liga Nos (please?!?!!!!) So with Espn+ and Bein, Nbc/Peacock I can watch the following leagues weekly: Prem league La Liga Bundesliga Ligue 1 Serie A Turkish Super Lig Eredivisie Jupiler Pro League Scottish Prem + Championship Efl Championship Ukranian Premier League plus every CL and Europa League match with the Cbs All Access. Not a bad time to be a european football fan in the US!
What’s up with espn+ not having any Scottish leagues matches in the upcoming section. For both the prem and championship they never have upcoming but then some show up in the replays section. Also strangely only 1 Belgian match this weekend and it was only in spanish. They usually show 2-3 per round
It's playoff time in Belgium. It seems like ESPN is only showing the championship round if the 'live and upcoming' list on the app is correct. They don't have the Europa league spot playoff match nor the pro-rel playoff match (that are happening tomorrow) listed. Anyone know if those are available anywhere online?
There's no Europa League playoff match (Belgium only gets one guaranteed Europa League spot which goes to the Cup Winners, or to the third placed team in the league if the Cup Winners finish champions or 2nd -- of course the second placed team could fall back into the EL if they lose in the CL qualifiers). You may be referring to a mini-league played by the 5th-8th placed teams (starting off with their regular season points halved, so it starts with the teams on 27, 25, 25 and 24 points) to determine a team to qualify to the Europa *Conference* qualifiers. Each team plays each other home and away. The first game of this mini-league is tomorrow. You are correct no games for this Europa Conference mini league or for the playoff for promotion/relegation between the 17th placed team in the league and the 2nd placed team of the 2nd tier (the first leg of which is tomorrow, as you state) currently appear on the ESPN+ schedule.
Yeah, that's what I was talking about. I really wanted to see the pro-rel tie. I don't follow Belgium at all, but I love watching the various pro-rel playoffs across Europe this time of year.
Nice find I'm surprised BEIN didn't try to get this as that is one product with a solid niche demand that was available
