Unless Trippier is banned with the gambling stuff, I really don't see TAA making the squad. I think James will leapfrog him.
I'd be amazed if TAA doesn't make the squad. He's like Sterling in that we'll persist with him no matter how badly he plays in the hope he'll bring his club form eventually.
I don't know, TAA has never really been first choice for England, so I don't England as being that wedded to him. He's just genuinely made the squads on merit till now, in which case James is probably ahead of him (and Southgate seems to like James a lot).
If you don’t think fatigue is a factor then you are a mug. Why do you think other leagues have winter breaks?
Just point out that players have had an unusually long break this year, plus the added benefit of extra subs in some cases. Even if this wasn't the case we're not particularly far into this season and I don't think you can blame all of his issues on just pure fatigue.
It’s definitely a factor though. Compare how much rest TAA and Sterling have had with Sancho or Bellingham. I know it’s nothing compared to say working in a hospital but it’s still a gruelling schedule for top six teams especially.
https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/euro-2020-tickets-thread.2102640/page-224 Not sure what you all think about Euro 2020 being possibly held here? As I stated in my post on one of the other forums, I'd be reluctant to host a possibly fan-free tournament if this was then counted as our 'turn' to host.
Doesn't really sound like the suggestion is based on much? It appears just to be what the head of the Swiss FA would like to happen.
UK is doing better than most in terms of vaccinations. Assuming the vaccines are a success and we'll probably be in a different situation in the summer.
Sancho's back - two assists inside the first half-hour tonight. Both good, but the second in particular was lovely and involved Bellingham too. I'll keep an eye out for a video. EDIT: Oh, here we go - https://streamja.com/meBVV
Yeah both had good moments but also not so good moments however it’s still a learning experience for Bellingham in particular but Dortmund on a whole we’re frustrating to watch to be honest. Their defending was shocking and I mean shocking!
I would hate to be a Dortmund supporter. Every week it's the same thing. They always play in second or third gear until they absolutely have to raise their game, by which time it's often too late. Probably not the case yesterday, but it happens so, so often. It drives me mad even as a neutral.
Ezri konsa is having a good season. Still only 23. We do have some good young defenders like konsa tomori white. Hopefully these guys can kick on after the euros
Hopefully Tomori going to Milan can see him get some regular game time as he looked a real prospect when he was starting at Chelsea. Konsa I've liked for a while and was again superb tonight. England squad is so strong at the moment.
I think Abraham should be given a run in the Chelsea team. He seems far more confident than werner and I know its only Luton but his record for Chelsea overall this season is impressive goals to minutes. Odoi seems to be having a good period too. Will be tough for Southgate in which strikers to take. Kane is a cert but then you have Abraham dcl ings maybe rashford as a striker. All our forwards are scoring
Going off the form our players are in now, rashford kane foden grealish sancho stones Abraham etc. How far do u think we would get if the euros are played tomorrow? We all know after a long season English players begin to fade
