Matthew Hoppe all games PBP thread

If he was a midfielder then I'm concerned that he wasn't coached properly to control the ball in tighter spaces. He needs to work on that.

hoppe with a hopeful shot from distance. i honestly like that. keep defenses honest by showing you are willing to try.

 

they arent very good at it, but schalke still tries more fast moving incisive passes than say, chelsea

nice bit of holdup play by hoppe who served as a pressure relief valve before playing a progressive pass to get schalke moving forward

 

I think Hoppe's Sargenting (Hard running, pressing, hold up play, etc.) has been good thus far. Both teams and this pitch are sloppy af though.

 

Koln set pieces are giving Schalke a lot of grief. GK with costly weak attempted clearance.

 

watching this game coupled with ESPN+ camera work is giving me a headache.
