Its also the fact that they are pushing for other countries to steal our players. Something that they do regularly
I don't think it's too bad either. We lack a world class performer back there, but so do most countries.
Stones and Shaw both making decent cases to crash the defensive party. Maddison and Harvey Barnes further up the pitch.
Our depth is getting mad now. Multiple options all over the park. Could name 2 England line ups that could beat 80 percent of teams

Different potential England attacking lineups Sterling kane rashford Grealish Sancho ings eze Maddison Odoi rashford sancho Foden Barnes dcl sterling Mount Any more?
I still think he will be with the U21’s this Summer but he’s impressing all the time and after the Summer he’s going to be a serious option for us, especially because he seems equally adapt at playing both right back and left back which is very useful in tournaments.
If we were playing a back four, then it could happen. Don't see how you fit them all in the squad when we need to carry at least five centre backs. If we assume Mount and Grealish are in the squad, then it's likely Foden, Maddison and Barnes are competing for one place.
We need more Brendan Rodgers out there, such a great developer of young talent - is there anyone better at the moment?
We need to give the likes of eze, maddison a call up. Even maybe esr. Games against san marino are perfect opportunity to blood young talent
Why such the rush? Maddison fair enough but the other two are needed for the U21’s, not to be called up to replace already really good players that we already have, it’s just counterproductive imo.
Eze is way too inconsistent for the full team at the moment. The kid's got talent, but there are others well ahead of him in the pecking order.
Rodgers tends to ease fit again players back in. Also - Ricardo can play further forward as well. Wouldn't surprise me to see him play right wing so Castagne and Justin both play
Been reading a book called 50 years of hurt by Henry winter. He was taking to former players about how criminally hoddle and gazza were underused. The same could be said of grealish and maddison if we are not careful
Maddison looks great, but I can’t see him making the squad.. Southgate will take 6 CBs which doesn’t leave much room, further proof that this system is rotten. Ideally Foden, Mount, Grealish and Maddison should be in contention with at least two starting, ideally 3 out of the 4
I’m not sure over picking CB’s is going to be the issue. We played the same system in WC2018 and only picked four options that were specifically CB’s. The RB options will play the RCB slot in the system (that is partly the point of the system isn’t it?) The issues will be if Southgate over picks full backs/wing back options. TAA, Trippier, James and Walker should IMO be competing for two spots in the squad. Or you pick Kyle Walker as a CB and pick another right back. This is how you could fit in all the AM options (Not saying this is what I would do) - GK = Pickford, Pope, + 1 CB = Stones, Maguire, Dier + 1 RWB = James, Walker LWB = Chilwell, Saka CM = Rice, Henderson, Mount, Winks AM = Grealish, Foden, Maddison, Sterling, Sancho CF = Kane, Rashford, Abraham
Yes, that's a possibility. Ricardo played further forward for Portugal age groups I believe. As dependable as Albrighton is, there is room to upgrade there.
