the battle of who's going to be the Bundesliga's MVP this season is really down to two; 19 year old Lena Oberdorf or 20 year old Sydney Lohmann
here are some highlights so you can decide\
    Lena

    Sydney

It should be Lohmann but Oberdorf won the vote for "Nationalspielerin des Jahres 2020".

I just compare goals and assists with how many minutes and reach that conclusion.

    this list seems more for national team play & besides, we still got ten more league as well as cup games to go. Otherwise according to this list, it’s;
    1 Lena Oberdorf
    2 Sydney Lohmann
    3 Lina Magull
    4 Melanie Leupolz
    5 Merle Frohms
    6 Djenifer Marozsan
    7 Lena Lattwein
    8 Leonnie Maier

three of them don’t even play in the current Bundesliga lol. While the list is once again dominated by mids, surprised that German voters don’t care for attacking forwards. But hopefully MVT takes note, as she seems to want to play Lohmann & Oberdorf out of position instead

Voters could only choose between players who have played at least 50% of the possible playing time. Germany played six games in 2020 so that players with less than 270 minutes were not considered for the voting.

this just might be the best goal of the season so far

unfortunately dunno how much playing time Joelle Wedemeyer when the season starts up again as Wolfsburg has bought quite a lot of players along with the returning of injured ones. Joelle usually plays right FB & has to divide playing time with Felicia Rauch(who's on the German NT) now with soon the introduction of another right FB,(the monster looking newcomer named Svava) playing time might even harder to come by

here's a new chart featuring the top 30 players this season. just don't get the market value mentioned as it seems way higher than their actual salaries, and why JoJo Eslig isn't on it as she's almost taken her whole Potsdam squad to a 3rd place tie pretty much by herself

Elsig has a market value of 50000€. The market value depends not on the salary of the players but shows how much soccerdonna expect a club would have to pay for a player if they would buy her out of her contract.

" We have included many factors in order to determine a suitable market value in the end. In doing so, we have paid attention to the development potential of the player, where her path can still lead. Added to this were age, success, performance during the season as well in the past, standing in the club and in the national team."

Looks like Bayern and Wolfburg dominate the market in that league. Its like the French version with Lyon and PSG.

These two are quite interesting, since they seemed to be quite important players in Wolfsburg last season and I wonder both how the German champions plan to replace them and where they are headed for.

No information about their new club yet. Both were offered new contracts but rejected it. Engen was only interested in a one-year contract but Wolfsburg wanted a two-year contract. Ralf Kellermann said that he is 100% sure that Wolfsburg can replace the players at least adequately and in the coming days and weeks we will be informed about personnel decisions that show that Wolfsburg will fight for national and international titles next season.

Didn't even know she had a child (can't really be up to date with all of the women's football players' private lives, can I? :x3:). Happy for her and happy that she's back on the pitch. Is she supposed to take back her NT spot i time for the Olympics (of course, supposing that they take place regularly)?

From Engen's point of view, I can understand her hesitation to commit to a long term deal right now with a head coach change on the horizon. Stephan Lerch is stepping down at the end of the season and will be replaced by a young Dutch coach, Tommy Stroot. With Bayern looking to take over in Germany, there is some uncertainty to how strong Wolfsburg will be under new leadership and more importantly; which kind of players the new coach prefers. There is always that risk to be benched at such a big club, and it will cost much money to buy out a player from a two year contract.

Tommy Stroot is German. He had been coaching Meppen before he went to Enschede.

might of overlooked striker, Hannah Wilkerson(NZ) joining Duisburg. She used to have a promising future, but a bunch of injuries hampered her career.

Guess the billionaire owner of Hoffenheim couldn’t match Wolfsburg’s offer for Lattwein?

btw.......great job by Melanie Leupolz the other day as she looked like the mvp in Chelsea’s win over Man City the other day

Don’t know, but it wasn’t a league game(that only starts up again In a few weeks) just an friendly(maybe just an scrimmage) between the two clubs
