Much much better from Sancho tonight for Dortmund against Leipzig! A goal and now an assist but his general play is a much higher standard which is more important. Great to see!
I think it's easy to forget that he's a young guy living through a pandemic in a foreign country. 20-year-olds have fluctuations in form under the best of circumstances, but it must be incredibly difficult to keep firing on all cylinders when you can only lean on the support of your family and friends once in a blue moon. Apparently he recently spent some time with his father in Dubai. Setting aside whether that was a wise thing to do, I wouldn't be remotely surprised if it's helped his state of mind enormously.
I think the goals made the difference more than anything. The rise in performance levels after the last two was stark. He was a different player after he opened the scoring today. It was like was completely back to normal after being iffy at times in the first half.
Assuming he starts today, it would be nice to see Ronnie played centrally or even off the right for a change. Don’t want to see him pigeon holed as a left winger. What do you reckon Marcho?
Superb strike, @PhilFoden!A fifth #EmiratesFACup goal for the #ThreeLions man 👏pic.twitter.com/pYBOs7ESNw— England (@England) January 10, 2021
What do people make of the Trippier situation? It surely increases the chances of James and TAA but very harsh on Trippier given the details known so far.
It's a bit weird. If the bookies didn't offer the odds the situation doesn't happen. Trippier was stupid but he's being made a scapegoat. The FA has bigger issues to deal with
players are constantly reminded of the rules around betting and he broke them, I disagree with transfers being included but they are
Still think he’s a fantastic player and in our starting XI but I don’t ever want to see Sterling taking a penalty for England again. I’m not overreacting to one miss, he just never looks confident from the spot.
Think lampard will be lucky to have a job by the summer. Already 10 points behind man utd. Shame because he gives English players a chance
Harry_Kane already has 19 goals this season. He only managed 24 all last season. Great hes in such good form leading to the euros
Will be interesting to follow TAA’s form over the next month or so. He’s been struggling for a while now. Adding that out of all of our RB’s he’s probably shown the most struggle in adapting his game to Southgate’s system. It’s one of the many questions that should be asked but will likely not be. How many players who play RB/RWB at club level do you intend to take in your final 23 player squad?

86 goals in 199 games is pretty good. Thats nearly a goal every other game. He needs to go somewhere to play regularly
