A bit of good news and bad news today. First, Ream's not starting is anything but news.

Good news: one of the players who pushed Ream to the bench, Andersen, received a red card today.

Bad news: Parker chose Hector, not Ream, to sub in and play CB for the remaining 30' or so.

Good news: Hector played poorly, picking up a yellow card along the way for his efforts.

Next up: Fulham host Southampton, currently 5th, a difficult task. Ream should start in Andersen's absence, obviously.

Ream is on the bench today, as usual. Note that Andersen's red card was withdrawn, so he will start in central defense next to Adarabioyo (also as usual).

F.A. Cup match tomorrow, he should get the start. Contract expires in under 6 months so I'd figure he's coming home.

The “blame for US loss to Costa Rica” derby ends 0-0.

Just noting that Ream played the entire 120+ minutes in a 0-2 extra-time victory over QPR.

That should mean he'll start in the FA Cup 4th Round (of 32) match on Saturday 1/23.

How good is that Dane who took his spot?

Pretty good, but he picked up another yellow card today - remember he had a red card rescinded recently. Not at all certain that Ream would be the next man up at this point.

Don't worry, he'll play plenty next season.

Yep, where is another matter. If I was a bettor, I would have a punt on Fulham beating the drop. They just seem to have that little extra bite and talent when I compare them to teams like Sheffield United or West Brom. I would wager they finish at the 15-17 group. Ream therefore will need to find another team if he wants to see the field.

St Louis still seems like a likely ultimate destination ...

I guess. Not sure he could make as much for them as he could playing in the C'ship? MLS is a bit of a labor mess right now with Garber invoking Force Majeure and all that.

Ream down hurt, may be victim of a very slippery pitch. Fulham have looked like they deserve to be losing to a lesser side. And, they are losing 1-0 to a lesser side.

Scott Parker spread around playing time to a large handful of guys who have been getting fewer minutes, including Ream. This game ... makes his regular lineup choices look wise. Presumably, prioritizing getting out of the relegation zone over trying for an unlikely FA Cup run.
