As soon as I found out she was from Effingham, IL, the level of my surprise dropped about 90%.

Pelosi is a shrewd, tactical and methodical politician. She played her cards brilliantly the last few months while keeping her restive caucus in line. Some may not realize it but Biden winning as well as the Ga Senate have a lot to do with her maneuvers.

What was well done (and cynical) was she avoided a pre-election cave, got no blame for it, and that likely hurt Trump quite badly, compared to if voters had got $$ in their pockets

I’m thinking this might be too late for him

Yeah. We drive through Effingham all the time on our way to see my family in Indy from STL. Not surprised.

The only thing Effingham is good for is getting an eye roll from my wife as “someone” taught our kids to claim hunger and demand to stop for an “Effing Ham Sandwich”.

That cross has nothing on the former giant Jesus off some expressway north of Cincinnati. Other than it still standing I guess. I was on some client visits in Cincinnati with a partner and told him about giant Jesus. He was Jewish and from the North Shore. The idea of a huge Jesus statue emerging from a retention pond...intrigued him. He demanded the 15 minute detour to see it. The next day we met for breakfast and I dropped a newspaper on the table. Giant Jesus was destroyed that night. Struck by lightning. The story got back to the office and people demanded to know what “really” happened to Giant Jesus.

On I-68 in western Maryland we have a Noah's ark that is being rebuilt. They are in no rush to finish it because they started in the mid 70's. Right now it is a steel framework. I didn't know steel was used in Genesis but I didn't spend much time in Sunday school.

Someone built one of those just south of Cincinnati. Google Ark Encounter. We took the kids as a “sociological field study” because someone gave us free tickets. Didn’t spend a penny on anything. A lot of Creationist/Intelligent Design porn.

Example: before my “Ark Encounter” I had no idea that Noah’s wife tended to the pterodactyls on board.

Loeffler has released a video concession statement and has called Warnock to concede.
Perdue is still holding though. I guess he is following Trump's lead. GTFOH loser.

Please let one of the Trump children carpetbag to try to get the GOP nomination. Watching him debate Ivanka or Junior would be HIGH-larious.

Touchdown Jesus off I-75! It was rebuilt a while back but it's just Jesus with his arms wide open. That was when I knew we were almost out of Ohio whenever my family drove to Florida or when I go down south for rock climbing trips.

I like Fetterman....Such a character. Hopefully him and Shapiro had discussed this. I was hoping that Shapiro would run for Senate and Fetterman for Governor. Would be fine if is the other way around now.

Yup. I suppose after making it through Dayton, the northern suburbs of Cincinnati do feel an awful lot like heaven.

Back in November I made a donation to Fair Fight. Today (3 days after the election) I received a thank you card from Stacy Abrams. That woman runs a tight ship. I wonder if a similar organization exists in Louisiana - I'll try to find out.
