Pot meet kettle... They just happened to find 50,000 ballots late last night. The USA is embarrassed by fools. Our Election Process is worse than that of third world countries!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 6, 2021
It will be a great day today. Georgia's final count, Trump's last ditch effort in congress, Boca vs Santos, and the Warriors vs the Clippers. I'm feeling a sweep.
I respect all Republican politicians who stand up to Trump. That takes bravery, because Democrats still mock and detest them, and now Republicans do too. This will be their lives for the foreseeable future. Being a weasel is the much easier path.
I should have realized that when the Clippers went out in this summer's playoffs that after long last, God has decided to take better care of His People.
I don't know why I'm surprised by anything he says at this point --- but the fact that he doesn't understand something as fundamentally simple as counting baffles me.
It is the first 15 seconds...that woman is deliberately ignoring the law on masks? And she wants to be taken serously?
. Loathe I am to do so, but I believe he fully understands everything that is going on. He simply does not care about anything other than what benefits him in the end. And he knows full well that by making a point to contest what is obvious and pretty much uncontestable, he's providing talking points and stupid arguments for his followers to latch onto and use as 'evidence/proof' in their arguments in support of him. His claims of election fraud since Nov 4th or going back, the whole 'birther' scandal (which in effect launched his political career) are the perfect examples of this. He's a perfect demagogue and that is one of the things that has to be the scariest about him. Even worse, I am pretty much convinced that this is a tactic we will see repeated going forward by others down the line...
Her cheap date talk with Jon Favs has really come good. Dems pick up the state and both senate seats! I might go back and listen to that interview again
You sure? She demonstrated her robotic personality quite well in the debate. He understand counting. He just thinks it is incorrect when not in his favor. So he'll use "illogic" to claim...something.
And to make it worse, when having my weekly chat with my mom (we do a lot of politics talking), we agreed that Individual One won't be leaving the WH at 12:00pm on Jan 20 willingly. He will try to stay for a while, just for the purpose of chaos and self-aggrandization (is that a word?).
Thanks for this Yoss. Loeffler seems a very poor candidate actually. Why was she chosen in the first place? I mean I get she won the primary vs Collins - but why was she installed? I've been listening to PSA's new Georgia podcast and they were saying that Perdue was much less tarred with the brush of corrupt carpetbagger than Loeffler I am actually quite surprised Perdue lost.
It began yesterday. They were fighting the police. Driving past Baltimore a little while ago, I saw gaudy vehicles still making the trip south to DC and a plane with a banner to "Stop the steal" near BWI... I can't imagine that plane will be anywhere near DC airspace so there's that.
I wanted to see if I could find the "Cox assaulted me" video she claims happened. So I poked my head down that rabbit hole...oh my. The plain Romney was on was changing "traitor." Man, that's crazy stuff.
I know we've joked a lot about seeing him forcibly removed from the WH, a prospect I'd relish btw but the next 2 weeks will surely be pretty interesting. I fully expect some madness to occur: don't know exactly what it will be or to which extent but it will be far from straightforward or by the book... The full freak out that is about to happen from the right will be epic.
Anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with their own psychopath understands exactly how Mango ticks - and sadly the mainstream US political media never understood this as they have to understand politics according to a specific framework. This was is why he does seemingly stupid things like not passing a stimulus which could have won him the election
I don't know why Leoffler was chosen over Collins, but it worked out. I'm not gonna argue it. I haven't been listening to the Georgia Project podcast, but even without it, I got the impression that Perdue was less effected by this crap that Leoffler. But I think the corruption (money) is part of an overall poor sense of the direction and motivation of the country. In a sense, this is a repeat of the Jones v. Moore race in that the losing side, no matter how bad, will still get a shit ton of votes. Of course, this is different in that GA is changing and is a purple-trending-blue state as opposed to the red state of Alabama. I also think that "radical, liberal socialist" message is wearing off and turning off the moderates. This pandemic has shown that the "radical, liberal socialists" want to keep everybody healthy (ACA, vaccine rollout, etc.) and want to get people stimulus checks. Sure, it is not perfect, but it is better than the do-nothing McConnell-ites.
What we've seen from Trump in the last 5yrs, the constant lying, saying something over and over (with no proof to support it) and pass it off as fact and the other things, almost all of it is the brainchild of Steve Bannon. And unfortunately, it has worked to a certain extent: Trump ultimately was defeated in this election but the support he's managed to whip up to a frenzy, is still proof that what he's doing, no matter how devious and nefarious, can work. It's just about pushing the right buttons. With a little fine tuning, there's no telling what could be in store down the line. That is why the Dems can not rest on their laurels and they need to get to work ahead of 2022 and especially 2024 because I have little doubt we'll see it again, if not with Cheeto, but with someone else (more savvy this time). And that would be scary..
