i'm so confident he'll score whenever he gets in that 1v1 position https://streamvi.com/watch/1609881191
YouTube is filled with comments saying Mane is a superior finisher to Sonny. Fact is Mane needs literally twice as many attempts at goal.
https://i.redd.it/usjt6mcxzj961.jpg Saw this graphic off the COYS subreddit, but just shows how nuts his finishing has been this season.
Worrying that Bergwijn is doing so poorly in front of goal, he really cost vital points (i.e. the Liverpool game).
If Tott had won that game, I feel like momentum would've carried over and not let them get into that mini slump they had. Sucks, but hopefully they can get back up there.
I think the slump was more due to fatigue considering how much better they looked after the extra rest due to the Fulham fixture being cancelled.
Son has been so deadly, you just expect him to score every time he strikes the ball. When he missed that spectacular volley against Brentford, I was actually mildly surprised. It was not an easy shot, but you just expect it to go in.
i feel like he's always played on the wings b/c he was fast. Hamburg Son was so good inside the box. you just can't teach this stuff at that age. I kind a wish he had the license to roam up in the middle earlier in his career so he could have developed holding/dribble box play (like at bayer leverkusen). it's the only thing he's missing in his game. Poch's Son also relegated him to the wings. It wasn't until after Kane's injury they started letting him roam centrally. I'm still surprised by how much first touch has improved. It's improved since joining Tottenham hotspurs. I always laugh when I see reddit comments saying he's a decent dribbler. The Son I grew up watching would always just fumble it with his first touch.
Confounding the xG model: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...ham/son-heung-min-xg-harry-kane-b1782968.html
I think the author and the quoted people are off in their interpretation of the data. xG is the probability of somebody scoring from a specific position and context, among all tries from said position and context. Son exceeding that probability by that much thus doesn't really state that he is an excellent finisher (he is) but rather that he is statistically outstanding at taking the decision exactly when to try a shot at the goal. He knows when to take the chance, and he has the ability to score fine goals from positions that have a low xG, so those add up.
Seems to be a lot of chatter of Son heading to or chatting up with RM for next summers transfer window stupid of tottenham to sleep on this one when others seem very willing to sweep right in https://www.google.com/amp/s/therea...ions-prior-possible-real-madrid-transfer/amp/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.da...ming-Lionel-Messi-Cristiano-Ronaldo-2016.html
