Yeah I agree, Son's goal is definitely better than that one.

I don't think anyone is replacing Sissoko either he's invaluable for the squad atm and his physicality/defensive presence is vital to the team + Mourinho's philosophy. The team definitely is lacking that creative/attacking midfield touch--especially with Ndombele/Lo Celso unfortunately being able to coexist. We haven't really been able to fill peak Eriksen's position and I don't think Kane dropping deeper is a long term solution since he's a lethal finisher in his own right.

People have been saying Ndombele is best when he's actually dropped deeper and plays more defensive rather than the final 3rd creator he's being tasked to be (apparently that's the role he played in Lyon--not actually sure b/c I've never watched their games). Sabitzer has played basically an equal amount of games as a DM but also an attacking mid, don't think he would challenge Bergwijn (who JUST turned 23 and I'm high on--he's still providing more than SHM at the same age, especially defensively). He's also technically been rated higher as an attacking mid and CM then as a DM which showcases his offensive prowess. This is if he even wants to come here though & how much COVID is going to affect the team's willingness to spend. I would be ecstatic to land him though

You can only professionally foul someone if you can get close to him. ;)

Playing his 250th game for Spurs today, if he score it will be his 100th for the club.

    @Rabbi Keane

Isn't playing both Siss and Hoj too defensive though? For games against Crystal Palace and today, Siss' offensive skills (or lack thereof) seem to be more on display.

i'd like to see ndombele played deeper like he did with lyon. he sparked counter attacks by collecting the ball from his FB or CB, using his strength and shiftiness to get past opponents, and quickly passing it to an attacking player.

he's also a great press resister against high pressing teams like liverpool and can make opponents pay for their high press because he can get by players so suddenly.

Levy needs to find a real proper coach for this team. Jose style of garbage football died long time ago.

I'd rather have certain players moved on first, such as Lucas, Sanchez, and Winks and see who they bring in first. Some of them like Lucas don't really seem to have it. Also, watching Siss do something offensive is painful

As evident this morning, Spurs had no attacking desire or creativity. League leaders to 5th within a week. How long will Spurs players buy into Mourinho's football?

they need some creativity in the middle or some player that's capable of holding the ball. their attack is too predictable if u have kane or son playing in the MF. teams are just man marking kane now. another game where they needed lamela.

Sissoko - i think this guys a right back sometimes.
tanguy - i think this guys a defensive midfielder at heart.

hojbjerg is their best midfielder. Lo celso is mediocre.

defensively okay but offensively bad. Average game I guess. I don't have expectations for this guy. He is not going to ever be a yaya toure or anything elite. hes an average box to box midfielder at best with above average defensive ability.

he does a good job winning the ball but he doesn't know what to do with it if Son and Kane are covered. he can't dribble pass people. He can't make incisive passes in a closed position.

the team doesn't really do a good job with off ball movement too.

Got through about the first 9 min, will watch the rest later. He's scored some amazing goals... signs were always there, even early on. Some of the goalkeeping while on international duty :ROFLMAO:

scored a goal but it was called offside. no VAR, but replay indicates he was onside.

Was a horrid call, was clearly onside--but at least we're comfortably winning now
