Here, I have to agree... one MLS team finally winning the CCL doesn't change the dynamic here anymore than Porto winning in 2004 meant that the Portuguese league finally got a seat at the European big boys' table. MLS would at least have to win as many or more CCLs than Liga MX in a five-year span for there to be a conversation.
