On at 69', for Ikone. A decent bit of playing time, and (however he plays) if Tim is able to exchange jerseys with Monaco's Cesc Fabregas, the day will be a complete success.

He's finally getting 20 minutes. By February he's going to be starting.

Did he get burnt on the goal against? If he is to be the RB of the future that is a huge red flag. (sarcasm)

Didn't have really any of the ball until towards the end when he had a nice hard shot on goal maybe just inside the penalty area from right side that unfortunately keeper made good save on. Other than that he defended well other than one misjudge of long ball that barely went over his head to Monaco player.

Manager says he’s starting against Celtic. Says he’s earned it and it’s been hard to see him so sad for being left out thus far. Hopefully he makes the most of it and punishes his former team!

But Weah has no hard feelings towards Neil Lennon and backed him to turn Celtic's season around.

He said: "When I was at Celtic we had fun, training was fun and we were a winning team and top of the league.

"The coaching staff were amazing to me as a person and as a player.

“They took the time to work with me and the bond that we had as a team and the coaching staff was amazing.

"Neil was great to me, I left the club in a bit of a rush because of the World Cup and things happen.

"But overall he was a great coach and we loved him. He was always there for us.

"This is just a moment where the team is down just now but he is the guy for the job and I know he’s doing it right."

    And from Galtier ...

"We want to keep winning and it's maintaining the dynamic, no matter who plays.

"We have a lot of games coming up but we will not be fielding a team of hairdressers against Celtic."

He oozes class. There’s not a more professional player in the US set up.

Celtic is pretty crap this season so it's good timing for a triumphant return.

    umm...

He is for sure classy guy and smart in his media statements, but... there's a lot 'o competition in the polished young professional camp the moment, to be fair. I almost miss Run DMB and the clog tossing adventures!

I agree. I love Adams too.

Tim Weah is the son of a president and it shows.

I’m sure if he played soccer it would show also with him.
