    LASK v Tottenham Press Kit

Spurs only need a point to clinch advancement to the knockout stage of the Europa League, while LASK need full points to remain alive in the competition.

A reminder that 5 subs (12 players on bench) are allowed to be made during 3 stoppages in the match for all Europa League ties this season. A 6th sub will be allowed in knockout stage extra time.

This match will be shown on CBS All Access.

Hmm, trap game maybe, with qualification close. Although I voted win like almost everyone, I could see a half-assed effort that just gets the point. LASK were hugely disappointing in the first tie, though they have beaten Antwerp since.

I can understand your feelings towards the match. I personally think Tottenham goes there to win. They have been in great form and with a big match coming up on the weekend, i dont see why they would want to enter it with anything but 3 points and a ton of momentum. The depth in this team is great, and even with a potential 'weakened' line up i still believe they have wat it takes to manage the 3 points. Never bet against a strong team playing some backs ups.. these are quality players looking for the chance to impress.. and i think that happens today.

    Tottenham W.

Sloppy play in our end and a terrible game for Hart.

That was horrible. 3 soft goals, 2 of them with 8 defenders on the field. Lucky to get 2 penalties. Bad, bad, bad.

Dammit, hate it when I'm right. Jose is pissed. Qualified... but a win needed in the last game to top the group and get an easier tie in the round of 32.

Watching the highlights, Hart did not look good.

This is why I'm not a big fan of the Europa - we play mostly the back-ups and they all know they won't be picked in the PL XI so most of them play like they can't be bothered and it shows.

Hart was not good on the 2nd goal, Sanchez had another 'mare in defense (boy has he really declined), Lo Celso was dreadful (he knows he will come on for Ndombele in the 65th minute on Sunday).

Everybody knows the Europa League's group stages are a bit of a slog. Even when you're strolling it, it doesn't really feel like it's worth it. It's in the Spring that it pays off. Milan ... Benfica ... Rangers ... Roma ... all potential upcoming ties with pedigree (even if some aren't what they used to be). Hell, we might even be able to swap hugs again with Feyenoord! And that's not even factoring clubs like Madrid, Inter, Ajax, and ManU :D), each of whom may find themselves in this competition come the new year.

    Bill nailed it:

It’s magnificent to be in Europe, and this club – a club like Tottenham Hotspur – if we’re not in Europe…. we’re nothing. We’re nothing.”

I feel much better after reading that, thanks Pook!

Until Sanchez messes up on the goal that knocks us out of the competition...
