Just playing devils advocate here, but if fans did not pay for subpar league the owners would not have the money to hold on to players. Just saying. chicken or egg here.

Mexico youth international Alex Alcala has signed a contract to play for LA Galaxy, with Manchester City purchasing an option to acquire the 15-year-old when he turns 18, according to sources #eltrieng https://t.co/cWQTGPNZiw— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) November 22, 2020 Let's see if gets to be a City player.
This kid's been under a microscope ever since he's been a toddler, I feel like there's no way he'll live up to the hype.
I usually don't get too hyped up over such a young prospect, but this kid's technical ability, passing and understanding of the game seems world class. Granted, this is based on youtube videos but there are many others that agree with me. I follow him on ig and his training seems very professional--so hopefully he can continue to develop physically.

Monaco would be a great move I’m old enough to remember Rafa’s days at Monaco. Would be cool to see Lainez follow in his footsteps. He’s wasting away at Betis

I honestly doubt he'll leave America, let alone for the MMLS.
I think he will go back to Europe before going to MLS, that paycheck will always be there. He's too competitive to go there.
I’m just saying, he could’ve easily renewed or gone to another European league with a higher level of play. He has the quality.
