Hopefully he can get a good amount of games under his belt coming into the next camp. Could really be an asset in the squad and has more top level experience than most other CB’s atm.

Let’s hope he continues this good form even against stronger opposition. I’ve been quite critical of him but he seems to have discovered his aggressive side to a central defender and not standing off the forwards which is good to see and is more involved with the duels, long may it continue.

Yep. Stones has 39 caps which is not to be sneered at in an inexperienced squad.

Also he was very good at the World Cup in a three.

Shame. He had so much promise at 21 22. Hope he can still fulfil his potential

If we can go into the euros with gomez stones maguire and coady i will feel pretty confident we have strong options. Stones has always been technically good just has brain freezes. We have better options than Germany at centreback unless hummels and boateng come back

I think we should probably operate under the assumption that Gomez will not be fit for the tournament.

Is jwp good enough for England? He is a brilliant set peice taker but I don't think he has enough to his all-round game

He's been playing really well for the last six months, but there are better options for me. He's pretty well rounded, but I don't think he offers enough either defensively or offensively in the current formation. He would be better suited to a midfield three at international level.

Brilliant performance, in front of Gareth as well. They don't call him the Yorkshire Pirlo for nothing. He should be first choice dm for us.

Grealish just got booted up in the air ( again ) and ( SloMo confirmed ) the West Ham defender says he never touched him and then Antonio was giving him continuous grief for diving ..

Antonio will feel dumb tonight when he watches the replays ..

If there was ever a game where proof was needed that Grealish is just on a completely different level to his teammates then tonight was the night. If he wants to test himself against the best and have a fair crack at winning things then I’m afraid he’s outgrown Villa imo.
