Best bet would be a loan move. That could more firmly establish his value. Don't know if he has the option in his contract or if Seattle would agree to such a move.
Did you mean 8 digits? Because I'm assuming that you don't think Seattle should sell Jordan Morris for less than a million dollars.
MLS Best XI announced today (Americans in bold): Blake; McKenzie, Mensah, Zimmerman; Aaronson, Chara, Lodeiro, Pozuelo; Morris, Rossi, Ruidiaz That's the most Americans on a Best XI that we've seen since 2015, and the first time since Sacha Kljestan in 2016 that we've had any American midfielder in the Best XI, and the first time since 2013 (Mike Magee!) that any American has appeared in the front three.
Nice! Although I really wish Best XIs would be a more playable team. What is this? A 3-1-3-3? I suppose you could fashion it into a 3-4-3 but it's soooooo top-heavy.
More fuel for the ever overlooked Chris Mueller. He was better than Baird his rookie season, but just played on a far worse team. Now those misperceptions & factors are lingering to benefit players like Aaronson in relation. Mueller was clearly better than him & as good as Morris + several of those other guys. Lodeiro finished strong, but looked like a shell of himself earlier in the season, & stat-padded vs. San Jose. 5 of Pozuelo's 9 goals were pk's. He was seriously overrated. Hopefully he has a chip on his shoulder throughout the playoffs. Scouts will presumably be watching that tourney more like MLS is Back, during which he got off to a blazing start, before burning out, partially due to a shoulder injury.
I'm going to ruthlessly hold the man hostage unless you give me: One minute later (scene of 1,000 clubs worldwide):
Looks like he still is. They should require 2 FB/WBs to make it logical. I think this team might actually be usable because Aaronson and Lodeiro defend.
------------------------------Ruidiaz--------- ---------Morris------------------------------------Rossi----- ------------------------------Varleri----------- -------------------Pozuelo----------Aaronson----------- -------------------------------Chara---- ----------McKenzie-----Zimmerman-----Mensah------ -------------------------------Blake---- It's legit. NYRB under Marsh ran a diamond 343 for a while.
Nashville 3-0 Miami. Matuidi and Higuain had very underwhelming seasons. At least Wil Trapp is available.
Not bad for a player who according to BS couldn't carry Yedlin's jock. Clubs in France, Germany and England have reportedly expressed interest in signing Reggie Cannon, who just moved to Boavista. One of the clubs linked is competing in the Champions League. pic.twitter.com/8or1ExUJo7— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) November 21, 2020
Mueller already with functionally an assist a few minutes in. Pinpoint cross to Nani at the back post forces a desperate Tinnerholm handball to keep it from going into the back of the net. Nani scores the subsequent pk.
This is the obligatory "Why were Maimi in the playoffs?" post. Too many excuses for expanding the playoffs to ludicrous levels of participation. It's bad for the regular season, and therefore bad for NT development.
For the sake of the roster for the El Salvador game, I'm hoping Orlando loses. I'd rather see Dike and Mueller with the USMNT than, I guess, maybe Parks and Johnson, if NYC lose?
Magee, to me, is a guy that got totally overlooked by the NT. (I know, easy to say in retrospect). He had skillz. He just didn't look like a (to use a dated expression) sexy choice. You gotta watch for those guys that aren't flashy but just play well. Mueller is sort of like that. Hope he gets his lookins.
I'd like to see Michel called in, too. We could do worse than starting a front line of Mueller-Dike-Michel. We know what we get from JoMo. I suppose we could put Ebobisse on the wing in place of Michel.
Mueller & Dike were trying to do too much so had mediocre matches as a result. A few plays but overall too error prone. At the mercy of their teammates after subbed out. Would like to see Pareja try to win with who brought him.
I don't agree with the argument that the expanded playoffs devalue the regular season. The Supporter's Shield, which goes to the league champion, is highly valued separately from the season's champion, the MLS Cup winner.
