Poor Wales, we just faked them out of their jockstraps, by announcing our lineup a few minutes early, then pulling the old switcheroo. Go Musah!

 

Who is the 9 then? Gio? That'd be gross. Hate the idea of him as a false 9 against a tough opponent. He could really get isolated up top like in the u-17 WC.

Lletget has one elite skill, & that's as a ball carrier. I already thought his inclusion in the lineup was important to get Gio involved in more dangerous positions. But if Gio is a 9 it's going to be a tall task.

Press is essential for this to work & then Brooks-Miazga would likely get beaten plenty playing a high line. But what the heck.

 

Wow this is a great lineup. If only ESPN+ had USMNT games as well, although it’s still fantastic without it.

No idea, just saw the tweet with an updated lineup. Could have just been a mistake, but I guess we'll find out soon.

 

Berhalter did mention LLetget was a natural striker in one interview so I'm guessing either he's going to play Lletget up top or Gio as a false 9, but we'll have to wait and see.

 

Do you get Unimas/Univision Deportes? Game is supposedly on there as well.

 

We'll have to see, but what I don't like is the continuing tendency to overthink and get a bit too cute with lineups. But, if it all works out, I'll be fine eating those words.

 

I say we bring Musah on for Musah when Musah gets tired.

 

I've never seen Lletget play cf & theoretically it would probably be his 8th best position, only ahead of cb & gk.

Whoever it is, it's probably tinkering too much with exotic & misfit styles indeed. Musah as a straight swap, hoping we discovered the next Mbappe, would be my best option.
