at least i was born in Portugal and not a plastic American/Canadian bar stool fan. Used to go to Maritimo games with my granddad before moving to London and always go when back on Hols Liverpool was my very 1st game i went to watch when landing in London, my cousin took me to watch them he was a mad Liverpool supporter. in my younger days was easy to get tickets to watch Liverpool but not now.
Pretty sure hes always supported Liverpool though. Liverpool nothing special before Klopp, so its not as if hes a bandwagoner
When a player is 20 years old, not much is set is stone one way or the other in relation to sporadic good or poor performances, but it’s just silly to write off a young player with such technical ability and potential. Just silly.
https://streamye.com/v7mde Those touches, the close control. One of the most pleasurable players to watch in all of football.
I'm sorry, what? Dude was left wide open. There nothing to do there but trap the ball and shoot. If anything, Cprrea's efforts are way more impressive.
Another 2 goals. Where are the haters now? Stupid to write off a young kid just because he played for a team you don't like.
Andre Silva was leading La Liga at one point in scoring. All tap ins just like our boy here. I have yet to see him produce for Portugal and he's had tons of chances.
Felix is a good player but I wouldn’t say he is as good as Fernando Gomes was for Porto in season 1986.
Fair enough, Im not here to say he is better than any other past player or present play for that matter. I just dont get the hate. He has skills with out a doubt, he has his ups and downs for sure. I hope for our national team sake that he becomes a star. We would all benefit from it.
Here's why Felix annoys me (other than the fact that he is just flat-out not as good of a player as he's made out to be): Jota just scored a hat trick in the Champions League. Felix didn't do anything today in the Champions League, but he had a nice shot that was well saved. Portuguese media is going to blow Felix and his saved shot all day, but will completely disregard Jota's efforts. Jota is ten times the player Felix is, and it's not even close.
Ya i get the the media angle, I really do but then again, thats not Felix's fault. If Jota is in fact ten times better, great. Im thrilled for Portugal and for Jota. If Felix becomes half as good as the media machine hype him to be, fantastic for Portugal. Dont pay that much attention to newspapers, They want to sell papers so they try to grab Benfica fans attention because they are the majority.
Felix doesn't play in a team with good attacking tactics. At wolves Jota had to play under similar tactics to what Felix plays under now and his numbers sucked over there goal and assist wise.
so Felix did not score tonight but did he play well was he the teams dangerous player was he the most likely player to get a goal? maybe some one can tell me who watched the full 90 mins, did not watch as i was watching Liverpool
The easiest giveaway is his sentence structure. All his previous characters have had the same random line breaks.
these are fake goals and assists. Benfica couldn’t afford cavani cause they are still paying the media to hype Felix for the sell on Clause when he leaves atletico
He may be coming into his own. Wonderful to see and I really hope he keeps it up. Look at the proven, undisputed true top tier talent the national team has up front- Capitao Bernardo Bruno Jota If Felix can continue to ascend and join then in that elite tier of player, which he clearly has the talent to do, we would be feared by every single national team in the world. How on earth can you not root for him to succeed with that mind?
