    Wowwwwww

This is huge. Does he fully commit next week? Prob not! But he is around some other young players and ggg can show him how he fits perfectly in our pool and will be a huge player in wc 2022 for the USA. Whereas, who knows if England will offer him the same opportunity

Absolutely agree. Egg might be an awful coach and focused too much on MLS rejects, but he is making me a believer. I assume this kid doesn't need to file any switch and it's more of "testing the waters"?

Props to Egg and his team. Probably the most impressive/unexpected call-up in the team's history. If it's a full commitment, even more impressive.

That escalated quickly. Since he doesn’t have to file a one time switch, I imagine this is more of a “join up and see how you fit in” call up. Still, I don’t think you can underestimate the pull to be part of an exciting young core like we have. As for the “disrupting our chemistry” argument, I don’t buy that. If he commits to the US, he will be welcomed with open arms by the other young guys. Our core is pushing boundaries we’ve never seen American players push before. They want to contend for a World Cup and this kid can help us do that.

Still a question if he commits long term but being part of a core around your own age and having a quicker path to the first team and likely the world cup is appealing

All reports I've seen of his play thus far at Valencia is that hes filled in for Ferran Torres' role at right wing. I've got to say, I'd be excited about an American player playing for Valencia at 17 years old no matter what position he played. Add in the fact that he plays right wing, and I start salivating. What an opportunity we have to shore up our squad for the next 15 years.

Gregg needs to put the full court press on Balogun now

This could be the making of something incredible

On fairness coming to a camp does not equate to committing either. But gotta stay optimistic lol.

If he does commit i think its cause he knows he will be a part of the plans. Breaking into Valencia and being a key part is awesome, but I think he also knows that unless Valencia somehow makes the Champions League, Musah probably isn't getting a sniff of the senior national team unless he transferred to an English team.

Insane. His quality and ability to play in multiple positions that we lack depth in is huge. Hopefully he fully switches, but we shouldn’t really be counting on that.

You probably instantly slot him in on the RW, but if Mckennie or Adams are either injured he’d probably be our best option at the 8 as well. Nutty.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up but it’s something. If he can click with some of the young guys in camp it could maybe happen... but yea it’s still unlikely.

Too bad Pulisic and Adams likely won’t be there. They would be two of the strongest pitch men.

Wonder if they try to get them to come to be a part of the camp even if they can’t play, given how long it’s been for the squad.

Wowwww...exciting stuff. The odds of him suiting up were slim to none a few hours ago, what are the odds he actually gets a single solitary minute now? Could definitely see GGG just bringing him along but never actually playing him. I feel like that would be on brand for him.

There's no downside for him at this time. Pleased and impressed Greg made the effort. Now it's up to the other players to make him feel welcome and hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

Can you explain why you think that would be on brand for him? Berhalter has brought in young players playing for European clubs around the level of Valencia and played them.

Not liking Berhalter is one thing, but just flat out making up a narrative to support not liking him is a joke.

Wes and Dest are the two you want in camp with him. Wes is great with people and Dest is the young hotness at Barcelona.

Hopefully Konrad and Kayo will be there too.

STRONG, powerful, lightning fast, great first touch, smart...he can do it all.

I put him on the right wing opposite Pulisic, combining with Dest.

If this guy stays and pans out, you have a slew of killer attacking players coming in waves.
